Ohh ok, sorry, didn't know that! You have to be 16 to drive in the States...not knowing how it would be for internationals. Maybe 18? Yeah doing it in 3 months is too much stress.

I only had my drivers liscence for a year and a half and had never driving in the States before. I am pretty adventurous though, so I just tried it out ( automatic cars RULE! lol ). It is soooo easy, the highways are huge the parking lots are so much bigger and most cars are automatic. I am thinking about buying a car, too. Just realized I have no money lol :'(

Yeah, he bought the car from my friends! It's a really nice car too, they didnt have many problems with it, which is not very common.

I didnt have a licence back home, infact I had never driven a car before I went to Florida and bought a car!
My american friend taught me how to drive. And I got a licence. Now it will cost me around 300$ instead of 5000$ to get a license in Norway..great!

Gry- that is exactly what I mean! It's really cheap to get the liscence down there! I paid like 1000 for mine in Germany which was ok, too.

I'm pretty scared of driving on the 'other side' out there, but I guess you'd get used to it!
@Tinkerbell- yes I am on the year programme, so it might be worth it. I think I'll probably end up renting a car when its needed though.
