yeh i cant believe that someone would do that! the curb part is def the funniest specially with the music as well!
That sort of athleticism has got to take some skill though. full-on pelting, falling over and they never lost their head (not a pun, the costume just didn't fall off) Wonder if that's part of the training?
Has anyseen the video of the kid who claims he was punched by Tigger, the kid and his dad are such liars and its crystal clear that the kid was up to no good and the dad egged him on. Funnily enough the original tape has now been removed from youtube and the one used by the news report is extremely misleading. Ok so its a busy day in MK and the family are getting a picture with Tigger, so wheres all the normal noise and sound, there is none apart from the kid going "ouch", yeah right clearly edited in. The kid was either pulling down Tiggers' zipper or pulling on his tail which means the front of the costume neckline pulls against the actors throat causing breathing difficult. Tigger was acting in self defence and he clearly pushed him away. If he did punch him why is the kid still smiling and his glasses still on. Watch it for yourself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hoai9i4BLII&NR=1
I thought there were character attendants to protect them from that sort of abuse? Ps-Go Tigger, you don't take it from Rabbit or Roo, why should you take it from a little kid?!
i wonder what kind of training the attendants get then? 007 status i hope! aww i'd love to be a disney character, maybe in a parade though....easier i think just to wave. i love how pluto signs his autograph with the book on his nose haha!!
To answer the original question, f&b is much better than merch!! Although I would say that as that's where I worked!! There's so many reasons I loved f&b so if you have any specific questions then PM or email me and I'll be happy to answer them! M xx
I did merchandise in Tomorrowland in MK! I had the most amazing experience, and if I was able to go back and do it over but pick my location I'd do exactly the same. I've made so many friends and met so many people and the best part was playing with the toys! hehe And magic kingdom is my favourite park so I'm glad I got there. The working hours are worst at MK, but IHOP trips at 4am are fun! Go TEAM TOMORROWLAND! hehe
I'd love the be a dancer in DDCT...the ones in the 1950's get up, not the bridesmaids LOL. Actually stick me in any parade or show and I'll be happy! Oooooooh the Main Street Trolley welcome medley...LOVE those costumes
I worked Custodial and it is one of the best jobs that you could have at Disney! In my first year there, i worked in operations at Fantasmic/ Beauty and the Beast/ Stars and Motor Cars Parade. I loved it as we were all so close and made the greatest friends. I also got to see the shows every day! This year, i returned to Sunset (The Studios) and was custodial and i have to say, i prefered it to my job the first year round. Everyday is different in custodial and it is much more challenging, there is alot of guest interaction... and you dont just clean the streets and restrooms!! Custodians get looked down on alot by other cast members which shouldnt happen as it is one of the most important roles at Disney. And yes, white is a bad idea for the role but i would much rather stand out it the baking hot Florida sun in white than darker colours! And Sunset is the best.... I miss that street so much
well i worked custodial aswell, its a great job to be doing. your always on your feet, greeting guests answering their problems, you i was animal kingdom so i got to see the animals and have shade. yes we have to deal with some worse of the stuff than most workers but every day is different, in animal kingdom i worked in most areas of the park, allowing me to meet not only new guests but also new cast members.. and because your out in the sun all day you can have (or you could in DAK) pop inside for a cool down and get some water... custodial is a lot more fun than first thought and to be honest if i get to go back... im going there
Yay I got a f2f! I can't wait! But since I got the email, i've been looking at that role checklist and I really can't decide what order to put everything in.... At first i though a vacation planner would be one of those who work in the vacation club huts around the World but is it actaullyu just a cool name for ticket sellers? Like at the ticket desks at the entrance of each park? Cause I'd love to be in he vacation club places but would hate being in one of those little boxes all day with natty tourists getting frustrated and confused with ticket buying lol... I reaaaaallllly want to work in a guest relations you know when you just go in and you basically go there if you have any problems or anything. I want to work there And what about 'recreation'? that sounds fun hehe *squeee* who am I likely to be meeting in november then? xx
I'll be there tiddlypom. Where is your interview being held? I don't know where mine will be yet but I will find out at the end of the month. What checklist did you recieve? I never got one ...
yep that is exactly it!! Vacation planner = ticket seller at the entrance. Recreation = water slide operation, towl rental, water craft rental, marina operations, arcades. These could be at a water park or at a hotel. Remeber there are only 2 water parks at like 20 hotels so you are much more likely to be put at a hotel. Also you may be placed at the mini golf courses or wide world of sports complex. What program are you interviewing for?
i don't know either - same situation finding out at the end of the month. Mind you they said i hear 4 weels after my phone interview and they replied 2 days after.... whihc is a shame becasue now I'm expecting them to be super early with everything. That's you get for being too effiecent, Yummy. EH? That'll teach 'em. Yeh. *ahhem* Did you get told be email that you were going to f2f? Cause that email had 2 attachments - one is a sort of intro and budgeting sheet (terrifying reading), and the other is this role checklist thing which briefly describes the positions and says we haev to order them for the interviews.. although from what i've pickednup, I thought we did that at the interview.Well either way I'm finding it very difficult! Meh. Oh well, makes decision a bit easier. Me working at Wide World of Sports... Hehehe you're funny! you'll understand if you ever meet me! ICP Summer 2008! Wooo!
