Bryce i think they would be like 6-7. We are a small number (nothing unusual there :p) I wonder what pavilion we get put into because we are such a small community???

Does NZ have a pavillion? (Normally this is the part the Aussies start making jokes about displays involving sheep, but that would be in poor taste)

Does anyone know if Australia has one?

Nah there is no New Zealand or Australia pavilions at Epcot itself.
We just get random jobs at Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios and Animal Kingdom (or maybe the water parks or Downtown Disney) depending on what role we are in. I'm in operations so I could be working on an attraction at any of the parks.
It is only the cultural representative people doing year-long programmes that work in the country pavilions at Epcot.

Is that what you guys mean?

We dont get put into any pavillion. Its only for people going for the one year Cultural Rep Program. We can be placed anywhere.

Ah, that's what I thought. All the talk of pavillions was confusing me.

    Hey Loz (and others)

STA is like a student travel place (infact I think thats what it stands for..hhmmm....) They can get all sorts of great deals for students. There is an office on Rundle Street (for the Adelaideians)

Heading to Melbourne next week to get the visa sorted...Paid the many fees and acquired the necessary paperwork...

Is anyone leaving Sydney on the 27th around 12 noon??

Lees, don't we have to be there by the 27th?

We have to arrive in Orlando on the 27th (Orlando time) I believe.
Because of the time zones (they freak me out) you can leave on the 27th for a 30 hour trip and still arrive on the 27th!

How useful is that though? I have an exam on the 23rd, so I figured that gives me one day to pack and one to party, then set off on the adventure. BUT not factoring in the time difference! Two extra days to party! And freak out. It's just over 2 months now. ahh!

    Ssup,

I reach Orlando on 27th evening. I am going to Orlando by bus from ATL, where I am meeting some friends first. Do I have to get to the airport first though even though I aint going by plane?

    Cheers

Personally I would say not. I think they care more about you just getting to the appartments. At the same time, it would probably be easier to find and get into the airport, plus you'd get to meet everyone at the same time and we'd all, like, bond and stuff. :p
    I suggest asking Trudy?

Hi all, yeah as someone mentioned coz of the time difference I leave syd at midday on the 27th and arrive in LA the morning of the 27th, then spend the rest of the day going from LA to miami and miami to orlando...so many flights!!! I estimate getting to Disney quite late like 11pm ish...

Heading to melb for the all important visa interview tomorrow!! Thanks heaps to all the people that have sharred their experiences about it, it has certainly made it easier to prepare...

    Chat to you all soon...

Hi Lees - I too am expecting to get to the property quite late. My flight doesn't arrive in Orlando until 9:20pm (Christchurch NZ > Sydney > San Francisco > Orlando).
Hope my flatmates aren't in bed when I get there lol. ;D

Ooh I'd forgotten about this forum...lots of people posting here!.

Hey Lees r u flying out on sydney flight QF107 on the 27th at 12:00pm (Midday?)
going to LA then getting a domestic to Orlando?

My friend and I are on that sydney flight!

if you are...I'll be the one wearing Bright Rainbow colours!

you know what would be really good is if we could all get Mickey Ears to wear while we are in the airport so we could pick each other out and then organise to sit on the plane together....or tell them at the check in desk to put anyone that walks up with mickey ears near ya.

I dont even know if they sell mickey ears in OZ.

OMG OMG OMG ONLY 49 DAYS!

I'm pretty sure the water parks are excluded from the free entry. Plus, over the period that we're there only one is open at any given time because they do refurbishment over the Winter.
In more bad news Splash Mountain is closing for refurbishment around Xmas for a couple of months so we had better get our fix on that before it closes lol. ;D
