Hi Carmen, Thanks for the info. What did the letter from your university say? Just that your degree isn't finished yet? Bryce
Hi Carmen, Being at UniSA, I had to get another proof of enrolment as well. I also explained to them that they don't do enrolments til next year, but he wasn't interested and said 'they know what we mean'. Tina actually found the emailed copy of the first proof of student status that we sent to Trudy and sent that to the visa people. Which UniSA campus do you go to again and what are you studying? - Cassandra
My letter said: This is to ccertify that Carmen...is currently studying a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education with UniSA Carmen has completed 1.5 years full-time study and is currently about to commence an international exchange program for 0.3 years full -time study. After completing this exchange program Camen will need to return to Australia to complete the last 2 years of her Bachelors Degree. should you require futher info etc etc. pretty simple stuff...Oh and Cassie, I am at Magill Campus. oohhh its all getting so exciting (yet stressful as the uni work builds and the motivation towards it drops) BTW I have My Space and MSN if anyone wants to add, www.myspace.com/porcelain779 and porcelain779@hotmail.com
Hey Guys, Im just trying to fill out 156. What do I need to write for question 24, At what address will you stay in the US? @Bryce What did you write for National Identification Number in the form? Cheers Steve
I put the address for the Disney frat/sorority house College & International Programs office Commons Housing Complex 8050 Gables Commons Drive Orlando, FL, 32821 They seemed cool with that, coz it is where we will be staying...maybe just a different part of the commons with a different name.
Hey guys....I just started a new forum discussion at http://www.wdwip.com/smf/index.php?topic=5027.0 I figure quite a few of us are past the FAQ section of this...and were not really applicants anymore were accepties hehe The title of the discussion is umm Southern Hemisphere participants 27thNov 07- 8th Feb 08....that way it includes our little sheepish friends the new zealanders hehe (yes I am 1/2 kiwi...my dad is from Wellington) Guess what peoples!!!!! 2 months today until we leave!!!!! (and arrive)
I just left that empty - it says 'if applicable' and I'm assuming it's not. Sheepish friends? WTF 2 months w00t!!!!! Bryce
One thing about the visa process - at least once you've gone through the crap of applying for it they're quick to send it out! I sent the issuance money order on Thursday and got my visa back today (Wednesday). At least they don't keep you waiting forever! - Cass
Thanks Bryce. And I suppose we will see you on the 9th/10th. Message me the details of when your interview is and how long you will be in AKL so that Peter and me can meet you. Cheers Steve
My flight arrives at 9 (Tuesday) and my interview is at 11. My flight homes leaves at 6.30 I think so I'm not gonna have much spare time I guess - I wonder how long the interview stuff takes, I doubt as long as the British and Aussie peeps ones? Do you know if there is a shuttle bus that goes from the airport to the city? Bryce
Sounds like my flight! Sorry I've been away soo long, I realised that I was addicted to this site and it was distracting me from learning. (so now I'm back, uh oh)
Nice! Yes I am addicted too. well I've already decided that I will be wearing my rainbow top on the plane...so look for someone dressed very brightly in rainbow and it will probably be me, I think my friend (although it wont really help much) will have green suitcases with ladybugs all over them.
I too am addicted to these forums - check them like 3 times a day. I think I'm gonna have to pry myself away a bit coz it's almost that time of year where every hour is important for study!
Steve/Peter, I'm gonna be in Auckland tomorrow for my interview. Email or txt me (021 1036747) if you will be free to meet up. My interview is at 11 but I'll have a couple of hours free afterwards. Cya
Hi all, I picked up some US$ today since the exchange rate is so good. We're going to have to be really careful when accepting and paying with their money. It's all the same size and all green! Very easy to give a $100 instead of a smaller note! Plus it's made of paper and feels weird, easy to rip. I never realized how good the Australian system is with the different colours! - Cass
Haha I wish I had some spare $$$ left, I'm almost broke after paying for my flights. :'( How much money are you guys planning on taking with you - I heard that you have to pay for the first two weeks rent upfront and don't get your first pay cheque for a couple of weeks! I'm hoping to save (and sponge off my parents) over US$500 (hopefully close to a grand) to take with me - do you think this will be more than enough, about right, or not enough? Cya, Bryce
Depends how much you'll spend, doesn't it!? I'm bringing about $500 cash in US$, but all up am bringing about $3000 Australian. Remember that you get paid every week from the second week or so, so you definitely should be able to cover living expenses easily. Just don't go too nuts on buying extra stuff too early! Plus you get free entry into parks, so you'll always have something to do that shouldn't cost too much. - Cass
