I'm the same as you Jilly, I arrive on the 27th, but i haven't heard anything about when our traditions start. How did you find out so soon?
Yeah usually you find out when your traditions is a day or two after you arrive, not before. You may have been told to dress nice on your 2nd day but that might be to get your ID pictures.
the second day is usually when u go through all the forms u have 2 sign, and for anyone needing a bank account etc. That is also when u get ur Commons ID. Traditions is usually the 3rd day, saturday for me and u jilly. Thats when u get ur Disney ID etc. Cos remember how long it felt till we got our disney ID?! and everyone kept trying to blag their way into the parks with the commons id!! LOL!
It can work, totally depends on who you talk to at the gates and what park you're trying at. I got into Disney/MGM studios the night before traditions with my Chatham ID and my paper that said when I had Traditions. I've heard Epcot and Animal Kingdom are the toughest to get into this way (mainly because Epcot the bus dosn't drop you off at the main gate and you can't get in backstage without your ID.) I know someone who got in Magic Kingdom with their commons id and traditions paper (the night I had traditions and the night before theres). So yes it's possible but don't expect it to work.
You can try and get into the parks i managed to get into Magic Kingdom with my tree house id, at first they refused but after we pleaded they let us in because the park was pretty empty and they loved our british accents! So you can always give it a go just don't argue with them!
We got into Epcot and the Magic Kingdom with our Vista Way IDs. Epcot took a while (because we got on the C bus and ended up at the cast entrance, where the security people didn't know whether to let us in or not!) I heard some people didn't manage to get into Disney-MGM Studios, but I suppose it really depends who you ask and what sort of mood the manager on the turnstyles is in Andy.

[/quote] dont worry jildo, we knows your schedule, its been posted for ages, you arrive on the tuesday, paper signing wed /thur, fri traditions and discovery day, then your working in the chippy for the next 7 days 10.45am - 9.30pm (except friday 10.45am - 12.30am), enjoy!

Then again, I tried at Epcot and MK and got rejected. They let us in at MGM though (cause it's rubbish there)!
