What do you mean by laminated? lol!! My visa appointment is on 6th October!! 9 Weeks today til the December 4th people fly!! Ahhh...single figure weeks xx

 

still waiting on visa petition and getting a date yea i know 9 weeks and were off on a plane to Disney - WHHOOOOSSHH!
gonna book my hotel in BW tonight sabrina so thatll be sorted. thats everything done - except visa stuff and all my packing haha that will be the last thing i do i bet! :

Hi everybody, I have a visa-question:

I just received the visa information including the I-797 form. This form says that the visa will be valid from 05DEC10-01JAN12 for all the people starting on 07DEC.
I would like to fly on 01DEC10 to Miami, so here's my question: Where you able to choose the validity period of yout visa (or the starting date)? Or is it issued as mentioned on the I-797? (cause this would be bad!)

Or am I allowed to enter the US with a tourist visa for the days 01-05DEC before the Q1 kicks in? ???

I'm not too sure hun, I am flying out on thr 4th and I have my visa and they were fine at the embassy.... I'd email Yummy, I'm going to aswell, see if I need to get an ESTA.

I also emailed them because when my visa came back it says that it is valid till the 28th Dec 2011 so I don't know if that is when we have to be out of the country.... as soon as I get a reply I'll let you know xx

 

I dont think you can enter on the tourist visa as you are only allowed in to the US on it for 3months at a time...I did ask Hannah about it a while ago but cant remember the actual answer. the ESTA is now $14 per person...x

What about your preparations for the departure??I've just received my I797 so I can start the Visa process...and I have to do the medical insurance for the first months...

im still waiting on my visa forms, i got my CRB form back today tho and im all clear... as if i was a criminal mastermind or anything haha :
i havent started packing yet, im useless with doing things early lol and i have to clear my room out before i go for a year, so much clutter in my room!!!
i also recieved a disney holiday pack this morning, with the DVD and brocheres in it. u get it online for free, and it just makes me more excited abt getting to live there!!!

I really think I should order one of these Disney Holiday Packs as I have never been to Orlando! Only Paris. I'm rubbish at packing, I went to NY in Feb, it was -10 and I took 10kg worth of things for a week!! Plus I am going to a gig on the 2nd December, then heading to Gatwick on the 3rd for my flight on the 4th, why oh why lol!!

Where have you been buying your clothes from Emma? I've been looking but can't decide. Have you brought anything for Traditions? x

I think for traditions I am going to do just black trousers and shirts, nice and simples!

I was thinking about an outfit for traditions, was originally going to don the full skirt suit, really look the powerful busniess woman haha, but that would take up far too much room in my suitcase so I think same as Kaz, plain blouse and black trousers!!!
