In the e-mail they sent to say I was on the wait list, it said anytime up to Feb 2010. Was that not the same for you?
The interviews for Jan onwards are in August. So basically we will have to wait until those interviews happen and the places are allocated as to whether we'll be given places... but we'll also be competing with the wait-listees from those interviews so we have a better chance at getting Sep-Dec places ideally. Or atleast that's what I was led to believe... Laura XxXxX
Vicki i went to Rogers house, like promised if you got waitlisted again Matt didnt come what a letdown and he just wasnt in YOU GOTTA BE NEXT I got my fingers and toes crossed
I think Dan getting the position for 22nd of Sep, Is not only fantastic news for him, but for the wait list. It shows they're not in any means definite no's.
Uh it was thursday, so a couple weeks after I got waitlisted. They actually first called me a few days earlier but I thought it was the phone company so ignored it!lol! And Jim u will get there mate we'll be making memories in no time lol cheese!
remember the whole lets not jinx this convo i had with u! Yea well ur violating the terms of agreement, and according to the contract it says you have to forfeit your position in florida and give it 2 me. Which i actually dont want 2 take from you, so im letting u off this time!
Hello Everyone, I am from the Canadian Interviews, March F2F, I was waitlisted as well and it seem there was a large group of us who were waitlisted. Someone mentioned earlier that it would do with the recession in the states I fully agree with this as they did major lay-offs and even canceled a program. I do believe the college program, everyone who was excepted got called back say that they couldn't go. So money does play a large part in this because they know that WDW visitor numbers are going to be low.
The only reason the ICP was cancelled is because UCF pulled out. Also, the only Disney layoffs have been at management level. However, I do think that the number of people on the waitlist is higher than usual due to the recession. They obviously don't want to overstaff, but if things pick up they have plenty of people to call. Saying that, I don't at all think that they will be calling less people than usual.
Yeah, it was established that the program was cancelled because of UCF.. You've just gotta remember that the waitlist means there going to employ you when a position becomes available.. So you are good enough, there just waiting for till a spot comes up for you..Its not rejection whatsoever..
