here's a funny story for you. well; In my apartment at the commons 932 we har a sofa like that. it was all soft, too soft to sit on and you just disappear in it when you sat down in it... So well the first copple of weeks I found out that I didn't like the way the furniture was put, so I wanted to re aranced it. And do smething diffrent just to feel at home. (CRAZY me) So I moved the sofe in fornt of the big window in the living room. and later that week my welsh rookmate and her gay englsih friend jumpt in it while they where drunk.. ANd they where kind og playing around and jumping on each other and all the suddon she got stuck between the sofas back and the seat.. and you hear a AUCH! and a CRASH! and guss what happend? well the sofa broke in two pieses!!!

The next mornig I called housing and told them are sofa was broke. and that I notice it while I was moveing some of teh funiture around. it took about 3-4 weeks and wee got a brain new not so soft.. maybe a little bit to hard sofa and a new chair to mach it to sit in. ;D

    Funny story huh?

    Oh I envy you guys...
Because I'm American, I had to stay in Vista Way on my College Program, and in Vista and Chatham for my seasonal stays.  I've never been to The Commons, but I've heard they're much nicer.  You even have a washer/dryer in unit!
One of the things I loved about living in Vista Way is that I lived so close to the bus stop, I could roll out of bed, throw on the only part of my uniform costume that was mandatory, and head out the door.  I could wake up 15 minutes before my bus left, and be good to go!

Same for me! Building 8 is right next to the bus stop! Lucky for me, or I would've been late ALL the time. I took the latest bus possible as it was!

Well our managers never really hung around onstage. They would usually sit in the break trailor or wander around somewhere in the backstage area. I was hungover many times but we were usually 4 or 5 people in the shop, so one could always sit in the back and drink water and the 1 hour break was also a good way to sober up LOL. We even had a stock room upstairs where NO ONE ever went, so that was a good hiding spot. Some people even took a 2 hours nap there haha.

Thanks so much for the pictures! Are most of the apartments in the Commons two bedrooms? I hope I get one of those . . . I don't know how I'd handle living with seven other people!

No, most of the apts. are for 4 to 8 people. 2 people always share a bedroom. I signed up for a 8 people apt. before I went down and then got a 4 people apt. It all depends on the occupancy when you arrive. I loved my 4 people apt. cause we had LOTS of space ( when you are 8 you also just have 2 bathrooms, one fridge, one laundry machine ). You had the chance to really get to know your roomies as they stayed there with you for a very long time. I sometimes wished for an 8 people apt. as it's just busier and you get to meet more people ( you can have roomies from all over the world in that year ), but on the other hand I was happy when I returned home from a crowded place or a party and it was just nice, clean and quiet. It's all fun, no matter what. The roomies are a huge part of the whole experience and I still carry all of mine in my heart!
