Hey Carly-Anne, I'd definetly check out expedia.ca. They give you the cheapest flight, you'll have to connect flights, but the amount you save is worth it.

And remember, you might end up with a late arrival time, and that's okay. Jeff told me that they want people to arrive during office hours, but if it can't be done, then it's okay.

 

question lol... and this is kind of random but I was wondering if you guys knew how exactly they assign rooms. Like if we're all going down for May 14th will we be close together or is it completely random in the sense that it doesn't matter when you arrive or whichever? I know Nicola said it was random but I was curious if they'd put us close together because we're arriving at the same time. Any thoughts??

All I know....is LeeAnn said that this program is tied into the US college program...so maybe we will mostly room with American College Students instead of the Cultural Reps.

 

Okay, me and molly are booked with northwest to arrive on the 14th at approx. 2:30 pm. It was 600 bucks each for areturn trip.. so i guess thats not too terrible. Sounds like most of us will be arriving at the same time which will be nice.

Shayna, as far as i know, they kind of let on that you typically get apartments by or with people you have arrived with. Obviously they're not gonna make an entirely canadian apartment of girls, but chances are if you're in an 8 person apartment you're gonna get in with one of us at least. If you me and molly are arriving at the same time i think the chances are we'll be close together. Of course, i am no expert on this, and we'll have to see what happens.

 

I heard we won't be in the Commons, which is sort of dissapointing, I wanted to do my laundry in my aparment! :-\

But who knows, maybe we'll get the uber-new Catham Square?

Hey guys... i did the summer prog last year and was housed in vista with 5 other canadian girls!! No one on the summer prog last year was housed in the commons.. just the culture reps lived there.. as for the rooming assignments they can be sooooooooo random.. usually though you live with the other summer college program people from all over the world.. hope that helps some I'm gonna be going back may 14th with all the rest of you and i'm soooooo excited!!!! Less than a month!!! I hope i get vista again.. chatham is nice but vista is where alllllll the parties are and it's within walking distance from walgreens, wendy's, 7-11, chik-fil-a and a lot more.. plus there's 2 pools... i heart vista lol...

 

This is a bit off topic, but does anyone know if they sell Canadian Flags down there? I want to put one up in my room! haha

Wow, vista sounds very exciting, horray for 7-11, I lived off that store last year in Taiwan... it's just so convenient!

Yes. I booked last week with Sara!! We're arriving aroun d 2:30 in the afternoon!! YEY!!! It's so close!!

 

They might sell them down there, but you might be a bit hard pressed to find one. I don't think we sell american flags in very many places like Zellers and Walmart... might be best to get one now and bring it down!

continental.. 2 stops.. 1 in newark and then one in miami...
