Anyone flying out on July 18th?

Gem, I went to Belfast today for my visa appointment and it's really quick, much quicker than London! Plus the shopping is pretty good in Belfast too!!! ;D And the lady told me I should have my passport back tomorrow! I'll let you know if that actually happens!!! ???

So looks like I'll be heading out next week. I'll be an old pro in HRC when you get there!!

I'm from canada and will arriving July 18th too... But I have 3.5 days of driving ALONE to do to get there, yuck!!

Oh I've done that. Only and the 10 hours to cross Newfoundland and the ferry ride . It's actually a nice drive, just too bad you have to drive alone.

Glad to hear Belfast isnt too bad- Ive got to leave here at 5 am tomorrow though to get there in time, and my flight back isnt until half 8 at night! So I guess I'll have plenty of time to do some sightseeing in Belfast (ive never been to Ireland before )

Cant wait for it to be over and done with though so I can get on with the fun planing like packing!!

Youll have to show me and Jennie the ropes when we get out there- you should know exactly what you're doing by the time we arrive ;D

Ok, so Belfast is officially the best!!!! ;D I got my passport back in the post this morning, only 24hrs after my appointment. Excellent service!!!! ;D

Gem, I was lucky with flights, managed to get one back late afternoon insteading of having to wait until night time. Even managed lunch with one of my friends from the IP!

Can't wait to see you out there!

Got Visa sorted in Belfast on Friday and got it back this morning!! Superquick! And the staff at the embassy were really fab and helpful. The staff at Flybe at the airport were NOT! because we finished so quickly I wanted to change to an earlier flight- as we were done by 10 am and my flight home wasnt until 8.30 pm!!!! but they wanted to charge me an extra £115!!!! not happy- they willl be getting an angry letter from me- what a cheek, in the end i bought a brand new ticket with BA for £65 because my mum didnt want me sitting in the airport alone for 10 hours! I wouldnt use Flybe again if it could be avoided- the woman was rude and unhelpful!! Pah!!

However, now the visas sorted I actually feel relaxed the fun planning starts now- packing here I come!!

I am with Gateway Gem...
It cost me about 147 US$ for 3 months...
I know that I have still insured myself for another 15 days maybe..
Since yummy said that I will get insured by them on November 1,2006.. So I will have to cover the 15 more days.. but I will apply later..

What insurance do you mean? You have to get your own medical insurance, everyone does. If you mean travel insurance then Im not too sure!

I havent got my flight times yet either- hopefully Ill find them out soon!

I've got my visa and am just waiting for flight details. i got my medical insurance with gateway as well Gem, cost be bout $100.

 

I think I'm gonna call today to check my flight...

Mmm... no, we don't have to get a medical insurance. I mean, not by ourselves. San Angel Inn (the company we are working for) gets the insurance for us, so we don't have to worry about that. But the ones that go to Merchandise, I think they have to get one by themselves.

 

OH MY GOD PEOPLE- ITS JULY!!
