Anyone else applying in January from the UK?

im just panicking now.....im sorry i sound ridiculous. Its just I am losing it, i really am. Some of u guys who have said bout ur cvs and stuff has really blown me in the face. you guys deserve to go, you sound like u have done excellent stuff and u guys should def not think u would get rejected at all. I feel like i didnt realise how hard it was to get in and now im just super nervous that i didnt write enough in my achievements (i didnt even do an achievement bit) aaaaaa!!!!

 

Don't worry, I didn't have any list of acheivements and awards or anything on mine... It was a basic straight forward, 1 1/2 page CV. Disney is looking for individuals, people with a personality that others can enjoy. So during any phone or face 2 face interviews, just be yourself and be friendly! You being you is the most important part of the application process

 

I didn't list achievements really on my CV ether. I had a 2 page long CV and about a half page covering letter.

I'd say wait and see what happens with the phone interview. IF you get rejected then send a response with the extra info. Michelle Park did something similar - she didn't write a covering letter the first time then contacted them when she got rejected she sent them a long letter saying why she felt she should be considered and they admired her persistance and now shes going!

If you get rejected, it's not over! But I'm sure your CV is great and you'll get through xxx

 

I totally agree with that, that was just a idea i had cos it was cultural rep, so i presumed we would write about our culture and what we have contributed to it. But it doesnt ask that by any means. I think if you have outlined ur reasons for doing it more, then that should be more than enough.

Its just so much harder that we can all communicate with each other regarding this coz james is right (can i call you Jim ) coz he said that its like getting attached to ppl and u guys are so lovely that it makes me feel so sad to know if some of us WHICH I PRAY NOT!!!!! get rejected then its gonna b so hard not to see u guys or meet you......BUT its true we can always send them letter telling them why and hopefully get accepted again and i am happy i get to chat bout these things with u guys coz it feels so supportive towards each other.

And um yea that was one of the things that got to me, cos the thought of people going through that ive spoken to, it would be gutting not getting through to. But i guess we have done all we can at this point. And yea if i dont get through im going to write a really good letter to michele, and hopefully that'll help 2. I hope we are all just blowing this way out of proportion and its not really as bad as folk say lol.

Okay, I've been reasoning myself calm. They only closed applications on wednesday. They need time to sort through stuff and make decisions. I have therefore decided not to expect any emails until thursday or best case late tommorrow. I can now concentrate on my life.
