I knew it was 18 month-but I thought it had started in 2004-so I thought it'd be finished by... I dunno.. April or something...

I can't wait to see the castle. And MGM has that new car stunt show which will be cool to see. Everest is going to be so awesome, though. When I was there is January it already looked like it was going to be fantastic. Can't wait to see it all finished.

 

Kev it started this May so has been running for just 7 months so far!

Congrats to all u canadians, cant wait to meet ya all, and I definately agree this is the best year to go (not that i have anything to compare it with!)

For anyone who's interested, I've been looking around and it seems like the majority of updates, refurbs and builds will probably be done for the ICP 06 term!

Expedition Everest will be done.
The Living Seas (at Epcot) rehab will be done.
Lights Motors Action is done (I think... I saw this in Paris and I can say it is BRILLIANT! )
The Carousel of Progress rehab will probably be done
The SIEMENS rehab of Spaceship Earth (including re-establishing something in the Global Neighbourhood building) could well be done
The rehab of Main Street USA Station will be done

And the castle will still have it's 50th anniversary garb!

We'll be seein' the place at it's best, I'd say!

I'm REALLY excited to see Cinderellabration that was brought over from Tokyo, it looks awesome!

Jess - yeah, we'll totally be there around the opening of everest, I think it's set for late feb....not sure though. Either way we'll get to ride it a million times! hee hee

 

*points* There's talk of opening it on the anniversary of Animal Kingdom's opening-which I think is the same day as Earth Day...

That's April 22nd, I think...

That said, I think soft openings and CM previews will take place before then...

But to the best of my knowledge, no official date has been set yet.

Hey Darren...congrats on getting in! No news from Tazzy yet, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

I'm jealous of everyone who's going in March...I'll have to wait an extra three months after you guys leave But at least the anniversary celebration won't be over yet!

The Animal Kingdom Project was announced June 5, 1995. Ground was broken in August 1995 and the Grand Opening was held on April 22, 1998.

The Epcot Flower & Garden Festival will be on in June (until the middle of it, I think...) when we're there!

Til when in June will this festival be going on, and what is it?

 

yeah, I'm really excited to be able to see the Epcot Gardens in full bloom!

 

It's a festival at epcot where they put in billons of flowers and plants (often in the shape of Disney characters).

Next year, it'll run from April 21 - June 11, 2006 as far as I can tell.
