From STA :) That sucks you don't know your dates yet, the July group going for 6 months finishes on the 6th of January so your start date might be the 7th or maybe the 14th.

The group flight was $2500 for us, definitely not the cheapest lol but it's great if you don't like travelling alone or want to meet some people before getting to Disney.

But yeah just have a look around at different options. One way flights, different agencies, online deals (The Flight Centre usually price matches) etc. My friend Jake is going to NY first and got a flight for $999 from Melb at a travel expo so there are some great deals out there :)

I found flights for $1800 with V Australia! It was a few weeks ago, though. Haha! Before I even knew that I was going! It's definitely cheaper to go from here to LA and then LA to Florida. The only way we're gonna get cheap flights is if there's a sale! A self-organised group flight would definitely be awesome, though. I also want to travel a bit... before and after my program! I know! I wish I could hire a car... you have to be 21 and i'll only be 20. :( oh well! Can't wait to start getting things organised.... police check, visa, flights, insurance! Yeahhh, really can't wait to find out dates either. My birthday is on the 7th of Jan so it'd be funny if we started then... ha! However when I was at the presentation/interview, I asked one of the STB representatives about the dates and she said that it's usually January 20-something! Keri, can you just get a one way ticket can you?? Don't you need to have a return ticket as a requirement of the visa? Or am I imagining that? Haha! Because I would rather not come home afterwards and maybe work on the DCL straight after the ICP or move up north to Canada and find work there in the tourism industry for another year!? Nothing's keeping me here in Oz at my age! May as well do it now whilst I can, hey. :)

But then you will have to budget to make sure you have enough money for a trip back.. wouldnt you rather not worry about it??
