Really! Hooray! We can be performance buddies ;D Yeah I checked out flights and they range between 2000 and 2700 depending on when you go, so dates would be sweet

Really really! :D haha.. yessss! Do you have any idea of when we find out which character we're 'friends' with? I have been finding flights between 1800 and 3000! :S So yeah, dates would be great.... group flight?! Haha! I'm so not going over by myself! I can't wait for more 2012 people to discover this forum so that we can all meet. 2012 represent! Hah! Oh god, i'm delirious! That's what a week of congratulatory facebook comments, emails, phone calls, hugs and kisses do to you! A bit overwhelming? But boy am I excited to do this! Hurry up January! :D

I know right! I couldn't believe the response from family and friends! :D Unbelievable! I would love to do the flight together, but I'm in Brisbane so I'm not sure if that will work out :( Have you received the email about criminal history check? I'm ready to do whatever they want to get there! ha! Monday I've got my passport interview then thats all ready to go. So cannot wait. Just over 200 days till January haha

    Congrats everyone!

I'm going over in the July intake for 12 months :D

Just some advice on flights. If you are going for 12 months and want to use the 30 day "grace period" at the end of your visa then buying return flights will be useless. Because they are only valid for 12 months. Also try looking for flights to LA and then a seperate ticket to Orlando.

I bought a one way ticket for $850 to LA and then a ticket to Orlando for $250. So it's way cheaper than connecting straight through to Orlando. Another great thing about just getting a one way/return to LA is if you are travelling at the end of your program you don't have to worry about the Orlando-LA flight (depending on where you want to travel). So my plan is to end my travel in Honolulu, so I'm just buying a one way with Jetstar back home for $550. That's only like $1650 for peak season travel so shop around before commiting to the flights that are $2000-$3000 :)

I hope this was a little helpful lol. If you have any questions feel free to ask :)

A few of us have blogs too

www.keriatdisneyworld.blogspot.com is mine (Lifeguard and operations)
    www.mydisneydiary.blogspot.com is Jess' (vacation planning)

Jess has a links page on her blog to around 10 others. Jake's is one of them and he will be doing character performer for the first 6 months like a couple of you :) So that might be interesting to check out

Wow, where did you find flights for $1800? thats amazing! All the flights i've found have been over $2500. I've discovered that it might be cheaper to organise the flights from here to LA and from LA to Orlando separately.. but when it gets closer to the date and we find out our actual dates, not much we can do!! A group flight would be awesome!! I really want to go around America a bit though.. like to New York and Washington D.C so i'm tossing up going there beforehand.. :S It would be soooo much easier with a car!! :) Jafaar, i want to do anything i can do get over there too! haha! i wish i could do my police check now!:)

This is bugging me, we aren't CRP people but rather ICP.

    Anyhoo,
    flights are expensive as
    A)Far off so no sale
    B)Peak times due to holidays.
