It's so frustrating that ppl who had their interviews over a month after us have found out already! grrrr!!!

Well I think that it *has* to be either this week or next. Otherwise there simply won't be enough time to get everything sorted.

Does anyone know what it is about these visas that means we have to wait so long?? Everyone else seems to be finding out really quickly

 

theyre waiting so long for these visas bacuase this is a brand new program - its never been done before so the US state dep has nothing to base it on - its a brand new position yummy spoke to my mum the other day (yes shes more anxious than me - i think she wants me oout the house lol - thank god she pretended she was sum1 else) and they said thats why we were waiting so long but if the visas came through too late it is possible for them to push back the start date! but hopefully that won't happen - plus theyve applie for loads more visas than they want so fingers crossed xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

If it's any comfort to you all, me and a lot of other people from my country are waiting to hear from Disney for 4 months now. Yes FOUR...

We had our interview for this program on 25th November and on the presentation we were told that we won’t hear from Disney till April, cause that's when they'll get the answer from the US Gov. about the number of visas approved to them. Disney didn't even tell us the starting date for the program.

Annually US Gov. issues 66 000 H2B visas to all of the US companies in need of seasonal workers from abroad. The approval process of the number of visas granted to a certain company is complicated and takes about 4 months. At the interview Disney told us that they'll start the process on 1st December.

So don’t worry too much, I think we'll hear from Disney very soon. And if there’s no time to make it in May, you’ll make it in June, but you WILL make it.

I wonder why they didn't tell any of us who had interview in Feb that it would be around april that they would know bout the visas? Would've prepared us a bit more! I got the impression in my interview that it would be 2-3 weeks. hmmmph.

 

If they push the start date back, do they also push the end date back, or would we just end up with a month less?

Wow 4 months lol! At least they told u all u wouldn't be finding out till april tho. They didn't give us any timescale at all! But hey, we will know soon lol!!

I doubt that Andy, the program is based on 6 months is it not? so im sure they would just run it on?

I think we all need some cheering up!! We're all so anxious about finding out, but really we should be pleased we're still in with a chance! (I've just been reading a castmember's blog, and it's put me in a happy mood)
