Sorry to say that Americans do NOT know enough about us Canadians!! I am SURE that some know MUCH MORE then others but I look FORWARD to the opportunity to explain about my country and cultures!! I PRIDE myself on being from ONTARIO but having MANY MANY roots in the EAST COAST!!

I want to fool people..........NOT guests of course but fellow CM's!! I want to convince them of the sled dogs, igloos, snowmobiles for travel........melting snow which MIGHT take away my family!!! ;D

Call me BAD but I think it is FUNNY!!

I have NEVER drove throguh BC or CANADA just for the records!! ;D

Anyone ever seen Rick Mercer "Talking to Americans" ?
    So funny!!!

I think part of the reason is because their education system doesn't deal a lot with other cultures so they don't learn about other countries, just their own.

Still, one of my favorite quotes:

"The cool thing about being famous is traveling. I have always wanted to travel across seas, like to Canada and stuff."

    -Britney Spears

Apparently there's some sort of deal with American made maps. That they make America actually bigger than it should be. I haven't actually checked this out now, but wow that'd be weird.

I was thinking it would be funny to mess with the Canadian guests down there....ask dumb questions and then say I'm from Canada.hehehe

Get this one, when I was in 4th grade we had pen pals from Maine. Now I'm from Winnipeg, so if any of you have visited you know it is flat, boring and boring. So we get these letters from our American pen pals asking us what it was like to live in igloos on mountains and one person even asked about our pet elephants! Needless to say they had NEVER been taught anything about Canada in school and had all these crazy mixed up ideas about us. It'll be interesting to see what kind of misconceptions we encounter down in Florida!

That depends how easily you get cold. If you can stand almost freezing temperature, you should be fine. I mean that's still shorts weather! ;D

Just an FYI...I was in Florida from April 04 - April 05 and I had my parents mail my down-filled winter jacket to me in December. Its gets mighty cold down there in the winter. 10 degrees sounds warm, but when its 40 for the majority of the time, your body will adjust and when 10 degrees rolls around you will think you are going to get hypothermia. I live 300 km north of Toronto and its not warm here in the winter, but I still FROZE in Florida!
