American Embassy Help!!!! SOS

Hey

i got my letter through this morn, confirms appointment time. From wot i have heard and wot the letter says, u have to Q outside the embassy for a while, up to 2 hours, and then they do airport stlye security checks. Then you go in and have to show your letter to the security guard and just wait... they say u should allocate 3 hours or so but i reckon it could be longer,

It also says that you can't bring anyone in with you unless it's an interpreter or carer. They also won't let anyone hang around outside they "will be moved along" as the letter says!

i dont know linz i reckon you'd be ok on the normal embassy site to do it www.usembassy.org.uk

but double check with yummy!

im off out shoppin again this afternoon..... one day i will stop this habit lol

its pretty easy to find! just look for lots of police with guns and a huge eagle on the top of the building and you will be fine!

look for a building with a man n machine gun outseide and concrete blocks! lol. We're gonna have to meet up before we go to the embassy, get a coffee or sumit before we spend 2 hours waiting! lol. mean i'll have someone to chat to inb the q!

Yeah, my appointment is at 1.15, same as Sara. I will going into St Pancras, but I am going down Sunday evening, so I'll be in London all day Monday if anyone wants to meet up.

yeah Bry like Sara said i get into euston around 1230pm fingers crossed trains on time. i'm getting my photos done in edinburgh at the place they recommend. I heard theres a place really close to the embassy too.

I will be gettin in ealier than that i think, am not risking bieng late! lol. You will have to queu outside too, my gran had to go to the embassy a few months back for her passport and sed that inside there is a passport booth, but am not even gonna risk leaving it to then!

Hey Bry i got my photos done today! Although the place the embassy recommended turned out to be a tanning shop! Not surprisingly they didnt do any photos there!

so i went to photofactory instead (u might have one in your town) they do photos that are 2 inches wide then they cut them to size so theyre 2 inches squared! He had to take mine twice cos the first time my head was too big! Bet he loved me! They charge 9.99 there for 2 pics or 14.99 for 4... they must have printed off about 8 of mine b4 they hopefully got it right! Quite expensive tho...

Linz im sure you'll be fine, i used passport pic last time and it was fine... The pic on the visas pretty small im wondering if mines too big now - i dont own a ruler in my flat! I kept comparing it in the shop to the one in the emb pic... I have such a long neck compared to that woman in the photo!
