bless ya linz mate ive been lookin 4 weeks haha. maybe on virgin, continental, american, united or delta continental seems to have the best flight times as its an early evening/late afternoon arrival @ 4:10pm so that would b ok. continental r good, most planes anyway, mainly cos they are partners of virgin so inherit a lot of their facilities! so thats where the nintendo came in linz as long as i get fed & free drinks its all good! all of the above do that so im all good, although u have 2 pay 4 alcohol tut! lol xxx
haha...i'd be willing to pay for alcohol anyway...my last drink for 10 months! when i went on holiday in october we went with travelcity and they were hading out free booze by the gallon! one mini vodka and one little pepsi can. it was like 50/50!could bearly drink the stuff! sure as hell made me sleep the second half of the journey...practically knocked me out!!! xx
Hey Gals, Well I think we are going on American Airlines, or Delta. As for me, I prefer AA, it is so much comfortable actually. U know as we are so close, me maximum of hours is around 5, so I do regret not travelling from far. Guess u gals will be waking up everybody else, with ur chat and getting to know each other. That is so cool. Hope u r fine Robb ;D
;D ;Dyeah I love airplanes but im still a little nervous on them but once Im on I love flights!!! uve all set my mind at ease thanx nat x ;D
lol linz, yeah we were gona go travel city last yr but flew to tampa instead with ba. yeah ill b havin a drink on the plane anyway, has to last me 19 days lol its only 9hours for us from the uk to florida, but it depends cos they like to fly us indirect to another city in the US so we can do all our visa checks before arriving in orlando, so instead its gona b a 13 hour trip, well about that. then we have throw ins, im gona b half asleep hehe xxx
i was wondering about the alcohol thing - im 18 so legal in the UK, but will I be able to purchase a drink on the flight? at what point am i no longer allowed?
feeona, u can purchase on the flight, i'm sure it changes sometime while ur over the atlantic when they cant serve to under 21s as ur classed as bein in us territory, well i think so anyway xxx
Oh because I am going to have to take advantage of the last time for four months i will be 'legal' to drink
aww bless, poor linz, she has 11 months of no drinkin lol. and i have 19 days oh well, il have 2 cope! xxx
as soon as u are over us territort NOBODY can drink. its against customs. so everyone stops getting served as soon as you're over land...but we just stocked up when they said 'last orders from the bar' so it was all good! you can drink right up until you step off the plane if you have some, as long as they arent serving it and you got it earlier from the plane. as soon as you physicall standing on us ground you stop, but by that time we'll have enough in it to last us a week! xxx
Hi Yummy Jobs came to Sheffield Hallam today, to an empoyers fair, and Mindy was there, I asked her about flights, and she said most people fly with Delta or United, it just depends whats available, and what is the cheapest. Also they try to get direct flights, but sometimes you have to fly via Chicago or Atlanta, and if that happens they try to get everyone who flys from Belfast, Manchester and Gatwick on the same connecting flight from Chicago/Atlanta to Orlando!
awww cheers for that ian, great help i thought it would b united, well an american carrier anyway. you'll still b on the same flight as me though ian, bet u can't wait haha look at us uni students on here lol, ud think we do no studyin. xxx
aw maybe theyre doing that all week and thats y i found it so bloody difficult to get them in then sara! you wouldnt have thought that they'd have to go to fairs...you would think those jobs would see themselves! xx
yeah u would think hun, thats mayb y i havent had a reply 2 my insurance thing. lucky that ian goes 2 sheffield hallam, kinda cleared some things up 4 us
