Thanks for the info. That's what I was inclined towards. I posted a thread about Hospitality in the accepted forum but no one replied lol. Do you know what kind of hours of the day they were expected to work? Did they have to do late night shifts like in the am's?
To be honest with you..i knew people out there who worked at the all star and i never knew anyone who liked it..But i guess its just your preference.. Apparently its the cheapest place to go in disney and the guests there still expect the service that you get at the grand floridian.. I knew someone who worked in mechandise there and she said that one customer came in with a tshirt they'd blatently bought from walmart and tried to exchange it for a disney one, saying they didn't have a receipt and that they'd bought it from a disney store yesterday but it didn't fit!
The only person i knew well worked QSF&B at the All stars. She had to be there for like 5am every day, which meant getting the bus at about 4am. She liked it because of the people she worked with and not for the job i think and she got the rest of the day off to do what she wanted. The bad thing about working at a resort is that the busses to some of them are a nightmare. For instance if you worked at the all stars you had to get a bus from animal kingom and then one to the all stars. i know that the caribbean beach and pop century were on the same route as the MGM bus and the Animal Kingdom Lodge was on the same route as the Animal Kingdom Park. You probably don't wanna hear about the bad points, but at least you'll be prepared! : :-[
My room-mate last year worked in Pop Century, Im not sure what she did but she used to start work at 4am and finish for about 2pm i think it was! My other room-mate worked at the all-star resorts but doing Merch, she liked it there alot.
Haha If they didn't like it then I hope I don't get put there. LOL. It is the cheapest place to stay in the resort, it's currently offered at £649 per person for 2 weeks which is definately the cheapest tariff. In regards to the refunding of the T Shirt. They wouldn't get past me easily. I worked in Customer Service at Toys R Us for 2 years and always had people screaming at me or trying to get refunds they wernt technically allowed. I'm totally used to it and not a pushover in that department. Edit: 2 new posts appeared while I was typing. Thanks for the info guys. I much prefer to start rediculously early and fnish early. In my current job I often work shifts 7am-2pm so I'll be ok, I love having the rest of the day free. I know about the buses. I remember trying to get to Typhoon Lagoon and we had to get the bus from I-Drive all the way up to MK, then get the monorail to the resort and then wait for a bus to travel all the way back down. All in al it took us 2 1/2 hours to get there. Then we found out we had to wait for a bus to take us ACROSS THE ROAD to Downtown Disney, but we Mickey!ed that off and legged it acorss their highway. All the angry bus drivers were honking their horns.
Good good..at the end of the day though..the experience is what you make it..So supposed regardless of what i've heard from other people..If you enjoy it thats all that matters.. Im just warning you that from what i've heard its the tracksuit family that you'd usually see on holiday in benidorm your most likely to see in the all star resort! haha..
