Oh it was a good one definitely enjoyed it lol, am looking forward to Manchester now definitely!!! And I hope so lol, I can never have the confidence - so many people have turned round and said 'told you you'd get an interview' but its easy for them to say lol, they dont have the nerves to contend with!!! Anna x
lol i bet u did, cant wait 2 go meself! aww yeah my friends all said 2 me, they were like sar ur a sure in, they cudnt not accept u, but god if they r in the position, lol. thank god it paid off mind xxx
Anna - try not to worry - the interviewers are lovely as are yummy. The hardest thing youve got left really is the wait! I think somewhere on the site theres interview guidelines and what to wear! Just go smart you'll be fine... Any questions us lot will help! Lindsey awww thats so sweet - i never expected to make friends at the interview its been wonderful! Lol Sara! xxx
Anna - its true what you say about not having a lot of time to get prepared I suppose!! Youve kinda been throw right into it which can be a plus cos you dont have too much time to 'over-think' the interview!! I think if youve had too long to think about it then you run the risk of thinking too much about what youre gonna say and end up sounding a bit wooden in the interview!! Good luck, have a great day and remember to smile!!! Michelle xx
what michelle says is right. i wouldnt overthink it! It will sound much better if its natural! and maries right too its the waiting thats the killer, not the interview! xxxxxxx
Def agree with u Lindsey and Michelle... I didnt know about this site b4 my interview so i had no real idea what they were gonna ask me... so i had to think of answers on the spot - was surprised by my responses... xxx
i knew of the site obv cos i met chelle & dan but i didnt take much in about the interview, i just did random chattin, does that sound familiar? xxx
Thanks people, I won't be over prepared - I think I will barely be prepared, I haven't done the application form yet and I'm off to Manchester tomorrow until Monday. I am dreading the wait, I will go over every little thing I did say and could have said lol. I just hope it all ends up being worth it Anna xx
Anna - the wait isnt gonna be fun!!! Its definitely the worst part of the whole applicatoin process!! At the time it seemed to drag on forever and I think i completely overanalysed my interview - ecery tiny bit of it!! I think its fair to say i was going slightly crazy!!! But looking back now it doesnt seem so bad!! Its all part of the journey to getting the job! And when you get that call from Yummy offering you a job the wait will seem like it never existed - that one call seriously makes all the waiting worth it!! Good luck - youll be great!! Michelle xx
how long after the dreaded yellow card is the call? like whats the final date we will know by? i know they give u a date but i 4t id enquire now neway!
Back in November us London lot interviewed on Nov 12th and i think the interviews in Glasgow were a week later. The yellow cards came about two weeks after our interview and a week after the later ones. Id think that with there only being london interviews you may receive your yellow cards about a week after the interview so around 8/9 marchish. We were given a final date of hearing of Dec 12th which was obv a month after out interview. Yummy made all the calls on tues 7th to offer jobs. This was a day when a huge group of people left for disney, so if they do it the same this time you could either hear around 15th march when my group leaves - yay!!! - or 29th march when another group leaves!! Hoe that makes sense emma!! Like you said though at the interview theyll give you a date that youll hear by and if you havent heard by then you have to call yummy!! Michelle xx
i hope i never have to make that call to them...because we all know what that means!!...yeah i get it michelle i think i am fully fluent in the language of wdwip by now lol!!!!!!! omg its so close an dit means so much..this week ive come to terms with the odds of not being succesful and all my faults ie being a youngen...but i guess we shall see...at lease i have my kik ass city to talk about...liverpool roks!
Haha Linz - yeah meeting u def helped - def reduced my nerves talking to someone who'd gone thru it all b4! good Luck Emma - i really dont think your age matters at all - this time theyve picked people of all ages, and some 18 yr olds got thru... Fingers crossed for you. xxx
Hi all, im a 1st timer to this, usually just read other peoples questions and comments and thought id add a question myself. Hey Steve I'm sending my cv off this week so fingers crossed we will be going through the application/interview process together!!!! Jess x
hey steve, they emailed me asking when would be a good time etc and its really not as scary as you think - they ask you stuffall about your home town and what is special about it, they asked me 'if an american was to ask what it was like to live in england what would you say?' and beleive me they can tell if your smiling and happy on the phone (it was my second phone interview) so be happy and pretend you no loads of exciting things about our country! Good Luck Kel xx ;D
