Acting and stuff in Orlando

hey there,

disney has this thing called s.t.a.g.e. .. they do auditions for acting, singing and other stuff. it's from castmembers for castmembers and their families.

www.stagecentral.com ... they also do different work shops like hip hop dancing, and costuming and make-up.. its pretty cool what they do and you get to know many ppl..

my friend joined two stage programs.. she was twice in a choir with a big orchestra.

the problem is that you need managers that support you, give u days off, do shift changes for you. it's not an offical disney thing so they don't schedule you during work.

Whoa, did I hear filmmaking?! I think my eyes just lit up. I'm a filmmaker as well, the more, the merrier Someone got a camera? I'm bringing my lapto and editing program. Oh, this is going to be so much fun, count me in!

hey this is cool that theres loads of people interested! We need to get some scripts sorted out then don't we. But I've got no idea what stories we should do! Any ideas?

 

I always make completely crazy short movies, I like funny things.
I'd like to make some silly stuff using the great scenography the Disney parks offer us.
Of course I'll be happy to act in more serious short films but I'm not going to write serius script ;D

Clara, I totally agree. I was thinking of doing something fun in the park. It would be a great place to shoot. Actually one of my friends from film class here is going down to Winter Park to study filmmaking at Full Sail, so I'll have to get him to come along! Oh this is so cool.

That's funny!!! I just graduting in journalisme for television and I made a lot of music video film and before college I was studying in theatre and I have good experience!!! I really love everything about cinema...I think it's really cool to know that I'm going to meet people who love the same things like me!!!! ;D

If we do film stuff in the parks, we gotta think about things like continuety and stuff. I mean how many hundreds of ppl will there be walking past! I LOVE comedy. I wana do serious stuff though.

We're gona have such a sweet time doing this! Ok, so shall we all say when we're arriving, that way we all know when we can start doing something.

Just one thing... they may not let u film in the parks for copywrite reasons, i know that in disney Store people aren't allowed to use cameras cos of that. You'd have to check it out when your out there though

Its so awesome that so many ppl are interested in filming and having some fun! But then again, we are all going to disney, so of course we're all up for fun!!! LOL...

The comedy thing sound awesome Clara That would be a lot of fun I think using the surroundings in the park! If anyone is good at writing scripts thats would be cool too =) ...I'm good with helping with ideas for stories and things that can go in a story, but Ive never written a script.. only acted

Like sheridan, I'm also good with helping with ideas for stories and things that can go in a story....
Scripts on the other hand.... I have written some for plays and small stuff like that in school..., but the quality of them.. I don't know..

I've never acted before, but would love to try... lol ;D

 

Wow, this sounds like fun! I wrote some drama stuff when in school, and am hoping to do a masters in screen writing when I return from disney, so I definetley love to get involved! I'd love to help write something, but like Emma I'd probably be better as a background civilian!

at college, i did a script writing unit and I've written scripts before. It's jst we need a plot!! hehe but im sure if we all sat down, we cud think of something!

talking about background work, I'm on Hollyoaks this week - walking passed the camera. haha It might be on tomorrow - Tues. I watched it today but wasn't on.

Actually, as long as we've got a camera, and a rough idea of what we want to do, we can jst improvise and see what happens.
