Hey Jess, congrats hun Im going out on 3rd Feb and haven't really started any prep yet so don't worry. My flight is booked on 3rd thats it. Apparently Visa's aren't being done til new year, I wouldnt do any insurance til after that if I were you. Also Im in the same boat as you with work........Ive dropped massive hints I want to leave, lol. Im handing in my notice on 5th Jan. Will you be F&B or Merch?? x

I feel bad for them though, like i'm going to leave them in some kind of lurch, one of the girls i work with is leaving to go on maternity leave at the end of january and another one only works 3 days a week.

that just leaves 1 full timer in..

I should stop feeling anxious about it, I'm gonna give them a months notice, i've only just been with them a year, surely thats more than enough?

 

Did the company give you a contract when you started work? It's always stated in there how much notice you have to provide. Maybe just hand it in now, and say you're doing it to be considerate and give them as much warning as you can. You literally have just found out that you're leaving so soon so no need to feel anxious or worried over it.

They did give me a contract when I started which did say a months notice, but in october they changed me to a temporary position but never gave me a new contract.

so they broke that contract which means I don't even have to give them a month..

But I will..

I got a well confusing letter regarding my visa yesterday, its already partly done because a girl went to get her visa then dropped out, so i need to go replace her name with mine, but i need to make a appointment and GHRIUGREIJFRGON

flight booked, CRB form partly filled out. Need to sort out insurance now. no idea who to do it with.

 

dunno, about you guys in the uk, but here in SA, STA travel is the cheapest and with the least hassles. when my gf went over she used them as well for insurance. very quick and easy! im getting a full year cover for really cheap. one less thing to worry about when you are over in orlando!!

i've had a look at thier insurance, i'm not sure it covers me for everything i need covering!

does the crb form need to be filled out at least 60 days before going. im confused lol xx

 

yeah but i don't even have 60 days and the yummy office isn't open again til the 6th.

 

compared to the other insurance companies in sa, sta covers basicly the same if not more. so im sticking to them. good luck with the hunt!
