Hey there, I am one who also can't drink for medical reasons so you are definately not alone. I was thinking the same thing about being left out of stuff so don't worry if no one does anything with you look me up you and I can have our own party of some kind. Lol take care
That's awsome! Thanks for letting me know that I'm not alone in this. So long as I get in I'd love to hook up for some non-alcholic fun. Just have to get through this whole interview process first. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and if all goes well hopefully I'll be there in September. ;D
Oh my...it sucks to be a Canadian girl when it gets cold!!!! Everyone gets big red plaid flannel lumberjack coats...oh so attractive...black turtlenecks, black toques or headbands, black gloves (or white) and a black scarf. The boys get this weird-ish brown colour pants...a little tight so they are kinda humourous!! Girls have to wear stupid culottes. They will fall anywhere from just below your knees to your ankles, depending on how tall/big you are. They are horrible things...a horrible brown skirt looking thing that is actually pants. They aren't warm...the wind blows right up them. I wore tights under them a couple of times because they were so breezy. Merch people weren't allowed to wear any of the winter items without wearing the pants/culottes (F&B were for some reason)...although many of us snuck wearing the turtlenecks at least! We all broke down and wore the culottes at some point...except for Carla!!! She toughed it out and went all winter with no winter gear and won $5 from one of the managers for it!!! It's not always cold in the winter though, so there may be days when you have to wear your shorts and bring along your winter gear to change later. Always have a change of socks when it might rain cause you'll be much happier after you get soaked closing the cart. Shan
OH MY! That sounds really attractive. What am I getting myself into? I suppose that I have worn worse many a time, I was a child of the 80's after all and neon was sooooo cool. Okay I can deal with that. So long as I'm warm and not looking to be recognized as a female, it's all good. Hey I would wear a garbage bag all day if it got me to Disney. Thanks for the info though.
HA! I did wear a garbage bag once!! It started to pour when we were at lunch, so the custodial guy gave us garbage bags to help us get back to the pavillion....note: ALWAYS take your rain gear to the Odyssey with you!!!!!!!!!! It's a long walk back in the rain! UK wears the same costume in the winter, but you can wear a white turtleneck under it. All the other pavilions had different coats from us. They were long and grey with some burgundy...so you'll have that too...and all the hats and scarfs and stuff. I'm pretty sure that's what you'll wear...maybe Laura will reappear and help me out. Shan
LOL! Come to think of it I am pretty sure that I have done that too. Not at Disney but maybe at camp or something. Hey I can wear anything. No worries about costume. I'll be fine.
I think Norway and Germany got the best winter coats, they were grey duffle coats and a lot of them used to wear them on their days off too. Ours (UK F&B) were long blue ones with a huge hood, like little red riding hood but navy blue, they were quite nice. ;D
uk merch coats (when i was there anyway!) were calf length heavy red Mary Poppins coats! - they sooo warmÂ
There were some little blue coats floating around the UK when I was there...along with the grey ones...but nothing like either one of those sound!!! Get your winter stuff early so you get the good stuff...and LABEL everything with your name (especially rain gear!)...or it'll disappear. Shan
