Apparently, on my papers fo the Visa, I was told to put the Visa Way Welcoming Center as the contact there.
Others have been told to put the Commons.
So, does that mean I'll stay at Vista Way ?
I kinda dunno...

no it doesn't make any difference where it says on the Visa papers, you only stay at the commons if you're doing the one year cultural representative program. you will be put in either vista, chatham square or patterson court, all of which are lovely!

 

I'm doing the summer ICP, leaving b the end of August

 

Only 4 weeks now guys!!!!! ;D ;D ;D

Paid my program assessment fee before I went to Mull - so I think that's everything sorted for the summer! Just need to buy a new watch (mine has Winnie the Pooh on and I got it in the Magic Kingdom ) and a couple of clothesy things, and I'm ready to go!!!

This time in 4 weeks I shall be waiting to board the plane (it's 12.45 and the flights at 13.30, so probably only 1/2 an hour to go!)

Should the VS 073ers meet up before the flight? (Maybe after security so I can see my parents as long as poss - or we could go through security together?)
I know it's early - I'm procrastinating and like to be organised

Maybe if we met up near security or something - at a certain time - then it won't be so bad leaving parents! I'm trying to get a proper little welcoming party to come and see me off!!!
Or, we could meet after security at a certain time - say 11.30 or 11 or 12 or something - so everyone is by themselves! we could all wear matching outfits or something (like... a red pair of shoes, day glo orange top, yellow suspenders - we'd be easy to spot!!)

OMG Katie, i love that idea, its amazing. I will be wearing my disney hoodie to the airport so i will be easily spotted.

I want to try and spend as much time with my parents before i go as possible.

We should meet after security at duty free, i know its massive but we can make a meet point, hehe.

 

I think i'll be wearing my disney icp hoodie too, but not entirely sure yet!

I don't know if my parents can even drop me off! my mum will be in South Africa and due to family commitments my dad might not be able to drop me off, i really hope he can though!

Yea, i am so excited,

I finished my exams today so i can focus solely on Disney, yay!

 

Well on the evening of the 20th I'm going to the HAC ball in town... so I'm going to be pretty trashed by the end of that - 5amish. Get bus home, get changed, rock up at the airport at about 7.30am where hopefully my parents will be waiting with my bags!

I am not going to that, instead am going to Waving Goodbye at the uni chaplaincy centre - will be weird saying bye to people I've been realy close to for 2 years, and some for a year
I shall have my phone at the airport - will use that until I visit the Mart of Wal
Although I can't guarantee it will be on.... I rarely remember to turn it on!!

I can't wait, I finished my (almost) last piece of coursework today! It was a geological map, and while me, my housemate and my friend were working on it, my other housemate said it looked like we were trying to invade somewhere with the bits of colour and the pointing! All we needed was little men and sticks....

Wow, beth, you are brave! I would never be able to do that, but i will be on my way to Manchester at that time, we are leaving at 3am!

I want to have a mobile but i dont think i will be able to find a spare for the time being, i may take mines down as far as manchester and then leave it with my parents to bring home

Its weird though - I live in the EAST Riding of Yorkshire, but many things addressed to me think I live in NORTH Yorkshire! Ah, but HIGNFY = Classic! Gotta love 5 live....

And leaving at 3am? Why not stay at the airport! My dad wanted to do that, and I was like "Dad, Manchester airport is about an hour away from Lancaster, where I need to be the night before!" So they are staying in a hotel in Lancs instead!

Is anyone else taking bedding? I got a duvet for £2.93 in Ikea, just need to get some sheets (and possibly a pillow, but I'll get another one out there!)

I'm rather bored atm lol - just waiting for the Killers to perform on Jonathon Ross so I can go to bed

yup yup i will be taking some cheap bedding with me! the thought of a night with no pillow or duvet sounds a bit horrific to me hehe!
I am SO FREAKIN EXCITED!!! my friend went out on may 26th and she's started putting all her pics on facebook...making me tres jealous and very very keen for the next three weeks to fly by, which unfortunately i doubt they will!
