1st off! I am so fucking sorry that you got that news. Its horrible mate and im sorry. But no u dont have 2 wait till next year, they're doing there next round of interviews in august for placements starting from january 2010 onwards. And im sure they're starting to accept new cv's from folk starting from june. So contact yummy and ask them to confirm this 2 u and take it from there. And remember those that get accepted from this round may not arrive till december so u could get a january arrival and be starting with them. Kate, Im so sorry bud!

Its such a weird thing, cos people who i know who were perfect for the job go and interview and strangely dont get it. Its weird. I wonder who else who aren't on the forums haven't got word yet.
hh im sorry you never got it, but u can always re apply, i think they have so many ppl that apply that even if your perfect for the job, they still have undreds of others who are alot perfect for it, all i can think it that i havent heard anything!!!! xx
Aw, sorry to hear that news, sure something better is around the corner for you! And I FULLY understand what you said about the three questions thing, I'm on a waiting list for just three questions, and I didn't even answer them as well as I could have. They basically learnt nothing of the real Jack or my real experiences from those tiny little things that were said, I could have said such better answers. And it's the same for you, they only got a tiny glimpse of you, just wait in the future you'll go onto other great experiences, keep at it you'll get it in the future!

i got it at about 2pm. ahh well ill just stick with the current job and try again as soon as i can. im going to orlando on sat for the weekend so i might go to epcot and torture myself xx good luck u guys, if u havent had a rejection email or a waitlist email yet then youre probs all in! and jack, youre completely right, i dont wish to blow my own trumpet but i know id be great at this job. ive worked in customer service since my first ever job. i work on a bloody plane, which may not be rocket science but its bloody har work, having to deal with over 400 passengers who arent happy, not to mention having to deal with medical emergencies!and as i always do the orlando trips, im constantly interacting with kids and families going to and from disney! so i think working in a fish and chip shop would be my kinda thing x
I have absolutely no idea how they decide these things. I guess it is really luck of the draw. Who ur interviewer is, how well u mesh with them. If ur answers lead on to a better question. I think luck has alot to do with it.
Exactly! Not quite at the same level of stressful job as you have, but I've worked in a small but very popular toyshop over Christmas, dealing with VERY busy situations, VERY stressed out customers, but also with happy Christmas excited children! It's not quite Disney but it was a busy family orientated store, so I figure I'd be well suited to merchandising for Disney. But the problem is with only the three questions I didn't get a chance to go into this fully, my fault really, but no regrets look positive about it all! Don't worry, one day we'll make the fish and chip shop! And yeah Jim you're right I think, it all depends on who you're paired with, who interviews and the timing of every little detail, if we had more time and a one and one as well, I think a lot more people would shine through. But as i said up there, keep a bright look on it all and good luck to everyone else not on the no/maybe lists, keep us updated!
lol yeah, or the other candidates were better than me : i think theyd already made up their mind by the time they got to me, i was on the last interview and there were 3 of us so quite hard to shine! altho saying that, steph and claire have probs got it cos they were goood! ah im useless my date with mickey will have to wait!
i was kind of expecting a bit more with regards to the interview to be honest! first of all i was disappionted with the disney "presentation" and the non-exsistant disney quiz. when i had my virgin interview it was a group interview where we were split into 2 big groups and had to do presentations and the interviewers were watching us constantly, then we had english and maths tests then one on one interviews. thats the kinda thing i was expecting. but as i say never mind
Nope, None of you will know me I don't think, unless you've worked at disney before? To cut a long story short, I was supposed to have my interview 1st April, And, not to go into details but just a week or so before, something quite bad had happened, so I couldn't make it that day..So I emailed yummy and was really upset and it was a bit of a kick in the teeth I couldn't go to the interview either..As it was exceptional circumstances, you probably know what Im saying anyway, just don't really want to get into details on here, Yummy said they would be able to have someone meet me at the disney head quarters the day before, I think it was because a program had been cancelled, so they were due to be there anyway? So I had my interview then.. I thought it went well, not so sure though.. But I haven't heard anything..Thats why I was wondering.. Really worried tho! Because people seem to have found out and I haven't!
the people who have found out so far are on waiting lists or have been declined. So far! Whats ur name and im not gonna go into it to much, but just wanted 2 say sorry for whatever happened.
Its ok man..Don't worry, its happened now.. Would have been even more gutted if they had said I couldn't interview I guess..But I suppose thats what I was expectin them to say, so cheered me up a little when they did.. My full names John Paul..But everyone calls me JP really.. Did you have an interview on the 1st?
