Hey guys! only 5 days!!! wooo ;D I have a quick question, my friend and I who are going to Disney in 5 days, for the ICP found out from someone who is there that, if you work in the Magic Kingdom, you have to stay in cabins? away from Vista way, Chatnam and the Commons... Just wanted to find out if you really dont like it there, if they don't have internet or whatever, can you change to Chatnam, Commons, or Vista? Just lookin for some peace of mind
Isn't somebody trying to fool you??? This is the first ever time somebody has mentioned something about staying in a cabin. This makes me very curious. So all I can say is...never heard of it and I have serious doubts wether you will end up in a cabin. But I am not the expert here so I do hope somebody can clarify this for you.
they arnt cabins... but if you get placed to work in Magic Kingdom then you will be put in the old Treehouse Villas. selecide... away from the other complexes... and anything else
i know of a few people down there now working in quickservice f & b and they are living at vista. so i guess you could end up anywhere!
Hey thanks for the comments, it's just my friend is a bit worried about it, as she is convinced she will be working in the Magic Kingdom, but doesn't want to be living away from everyone, people she already knows etc.

The Treehouse Villas, located near Downtown Disney (actually nearer Sarataga Springs Resort and Spa), are being used to house some ICP cast members. My understanding is that the transporation between the villas is limited: i.e. to the MK and Vista Way hub only. For this reason, I believe only MK cast are housed there (though I see no reason why cast at the MK area resorts couldn't be there too...). It's not though inevitable that if you are MK cast that you will be housed there: there are current MK cast on these boards housed at Vista. The villas were formerly guest locations and I'm told were nice in their day: not spoken to anyone who has stayed in them as cast. I have heard rumous that they don't have internet access though On changing rooms, you can request a room change: a fee does apply if you do so. I don't know whether you are able to specify an exact location when you request a change.
