People have advised me to buy my shoes there because Disney supposedly has a fixed idea about what they want. Plus there's a store close to the commons which gives castmembers discounts and has all the different types of shoes we need.
yeah, i seem to remember on the list we got at the interview it said bring money for work shoes, so I presume they would prefer us to buy them over there! I'm planning to go on a big shopping trip when I get there anyway! ;D Lianne xxx
During your training you will have time to go and buy shoes. I went to Payless and bought some simple ones for 10 bucks that I threw away after my year. Usually they want you to wear plain black ones that are not opened ( showing your toes ). But you will find out when you are there. Nothin' to worry about! Julia
So advice in general is then dont worry bout work shoes till we get there???What about the shoes we hav to wear in the first week whilst wearin our suits??Are they suposed to be just suit shoes which are smart if u get wot i mean?? (this is probably in the disney look book aswell isnt it lol) xXx
@ Shannybanany: Oh really? Would you recommend we take some down with us then or is there a specific style we should know about?
Yeah most pavillions have dresses for the girls, so the black simple shoes work. I forgot to mention that Canada merch/attraction has to wear boots. So you might take some with you ( you can wear them on the flight...less luggage haha ). As for the training days, yeah, smart shoes will definitely work. Just something you can combine with a lot of things. It's really not that official and business-like as you might think. Just wear something you would wear for a regular interview. Julia
you're v right craig! but yeah im waitin til i get there, i think ill probs end up at payless like u did julia xxx
Craig, I know they will have some stores that sell hiking boots, but they would probably be way more expensive. Especially when you already have some ( which I think is the case for most canadians!? ). Well you can see once you have packed everything. Sara, the shoes were like 10 bucks and it was way better to buy them there and then get rid off them after the year! Saved luggage space ;D Julia
lol yeah thanks for the warning... i think i may do that now uve told me!!! tryin 2 do a packing checklist... i know i'm gona forget something LOL xxx
