I was wondering how far in advance the cultural representatives get their work schedules. do they set it up weekly or monthly? I am asking cause i need to do at least one trip that requires at least 4 days of in a row and a lil up front planning. would it be possible to change shifts or pass it on to someone or do i have to ask the managers to switch stuff for me.
Generally your schedules are only posted for one week ahead (that's right guys, isn't it? Having special moment trying to recall. ). But you can (and must!) request time off months in advance. Speak to your scheduler and you can ask for a "back to back" which means you'll have your 2 days off each week on the fri-mon or you can ask for ADOs (additional days off). If you know when you need those days off, I'd ask as soon as you arrive! When you do that, you'll have little cards saying that the time off is approved. Hang on to those and then when the schedule for that particular week is issued you have proof of when you should be scheduled off. If there are any problems it can then be fixed. What a load of waffle there. ;D Your trainer will fill you in anyway when you arrive. ask him/her. ;D Ona x
Thank you for the answer Ona. I really hope I meet you when you are on the cruiseship and then you get some good german chocolate or whatever you like. of course some others will as well
Oooo German chocolate! Yum. ;D Ona x P.S. Offer some to your scheduler and you'll def. have no probs getting the time off. Lol. ;D
