Hey Everyone! Hows it goin? I was just checking and found out that my favourite musical ever Wicked is gonna be in Orlando when they tour at Bob Carr PAC April 23 - May 4 2008. Anyone fancy going to see it???? Cause I really dont wanna have to go myself.
Totally, Idina and Kristen were the best at that show. I am listening to Defying Gravity now, one of the best songs from it. "So if you care to find me Look to the Western Sky As someone told me lately Everyone deserves a chance to fly!"
And if I'm flying solo At least I'm flying free To those who'd ground me Take a message back from me Tell them how I am Defying gravity I'm flying high Defying gravity And soon I'll match them in renown And nobody in all of Oz No Wizard that there is or was Is ever gonna bring me down! I love it!
Lol, I love all the songs from Wicked. My favourites are Defying Gravity, As long As You're Mine, No Good Deed and For Good. Ok, I could keep going, so I guess they are all my favourites. lol. Have you read the book?
Whenever I see someone Less fortunate than I And let's face it - who isn't Less fortunate than I? My tender heart tends to start to bleed And when someone needs a makeover I simply have to take over I know I know exactly what they need And even in your case Tho' it's the toughest case I've yet to face Don't worry - I'm determined to succeed Follow my lead And yes, indeed You will be Popular! lol i love Galinda
boo, i go home on the 4th April :-[ I've seen both Idina Menzel and Kerry Ellis play Elphaba on the West End. My favourite tune is No Good Deed and I was lucky enough to perform it in a show a couple of months ago! ( A very good excuse to have the backing tracks as well as the cast album!
Wicked is simply amazing, I saw it on the Westend a couple of moths ago. If I'm there when it arrives count me it. The book is also fantasmic ^_^ Have you read the sequel, 'Son Of A Witch'? Did anyone see/hear Kate Monster & Trekkie Monster from Avenue Q Westend Cast perform Popular, its so funny, search youtube if you haven't. They did it for a charity thing over Valentines day 2007. An amazing combo from my 2 fav musicals ^_^
Avenue Q us another of my favourites too. The songs are just so much fun. Wicked book is great, havent read the sequel though, might get that for my travelling to Orlando. lol.
Yeah I heard that too, cause when I read the sequel and got to the end I was like no way I need to know what happens next, this can't end ths way. I met Elphaba last year at Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party, well not an official character but the girl looked spot on to Elphie Act 2 and she was super nice as well.
I love Wicked! I saw it last Saturday with Kerry Ellis (whilst I'm a big fan of Idina, Kerry just makes Elphaba her own and she is so sweet!) When I was doing MNSSHP last year a group came up to me dressed as the entire cast of Wicked. They even had Nessa in a wheelchair! The costumes were spot on and I think it was the best thing I saw out the entire treat trails I worked. Wish I was out there early next year...but I shall have to settle for the West End. Maybe one day it will be me up there singing "The shouts of love will burn through the air And what's more A certain governor will be there Claiming credit for This magic child of his, boasting how proud he is of me For doing things the wizard would not even contemplate So they can, go ahead and laugh 'Til their sides are aching But if I do half What I feel inside me waking They'll be cheering after I have finished making good No, not making good Making Great!"
Last year when I was in MK (We did the day wish we stayed for MNSSHP) we were coming out of the Bear Band Jamboree and I saw a girl pushing a pram as Elphaba. Curosity got the better of me and I went up and asked her If she was Wicked Witch from 'Wizard of Oz' or Elphaba from 'Wicked'. She got a big grin and said Elphie and said I was the first person that day to realize who she was meant to be she pulled her brother over who was dressed as Fiyero in the military uniform and told me she made both costumes, they looked great and really made my day cause I'm a big fan of Wicked.
I'd be gutted too! I was so disappointed when Idina finished the West End 11 days before I came home from FL
