Just like good ol' Joey from Blossom would say WHOA! I am leaving in 19 days! I cant believe this has all happened soo soon! Still alot to do! Travel Insurance (they really misled me on that one) Can anyone answer thats already there, what the Disney covereage would dover me for after the first few months of having my own???? I am thinking its fully worth paying the 550$$ for the years insurance, but then if I get hurt I have to pay a $300 deductable , or if I pay 700$$ I would have a $0 deductable? what does anyone think? Do you all have your own coverage or just Disneys? I still also have to pack, I wish I knew what my roomates had so I knew if I should bring my DVD player CD player etc... I guess I jsut will and then we would have doubles! As far as clothes go, well I already have 2 dressers full, and 2 closets full of clothes, so I think I might not bring as much as I thought, which will give me an excuse to buy all the clothes I can handle down there! I will love it I am a SHOPOHOLIC.... ;D ;D ;D Does anyone have any advice for getting ready to come down there, certain things to bring for sure, certain things to not....and of course answers to any of the Q's I asked before! Thanks Ladies and Gents! See you all sooon! 8)
Not sure about your insurence questions (I haven't had my F2F yet) but my plan is when I get down there if there is no DVD player in my room I'm gonna get a cheap one at Wal Mart (although I might go for a PS2 instead since they play DVD's lol), and since I have an Ipod I was just gonna bring my computers speakers and use that. I dunno if the cheap wal mart stuff is an option for you but you may just want to consider that since you won't have to pack it (and could try to sell it when you leave)
Hmm. :-\ Is that $700 Canadian? Everyone I knew out there used Disney's but to be honest it's not brilliant. You get to choose what coverage / policy you want but most folk choose sigma hmo (the cheapest). I guess it depends on your health. If you know you are likely to need to visit the doctor/hospital alot then I'd go for the $700. But there's no accounting for accidents etc. :-\ SInce we have the national health service here in the UK it was quite difficult for me to understand all this stuff before I got there. Maybe I was naive (I was far from alone however) but I understood Disney would cover our health insurance one we got there. Not so. It's deducted from your wages. Had I known this, I would have taken a year's in advance as it wasn't particularly more expensive than the 3 months I had to take out. Sorry, I guess I haven't been much help really. : Ona
