It really depends on what type of computer you have. Mac's use something called the Airport Express. Very easy to hookup with.(this can also be used with PCs and sound systems. Pretty much any wireless router will work for PCs i.e. Linksys. But you will still need a network cable to hookup the new wireless router to the existing hub in each apartment. If there is already a wireless router in the apartment all you will need is the wireless card in your computer if your roomie is willing to share.
