If you really want to experience the Disney Magic, the onstage roles are better. In F&B you have a lot of guest contact with each guest and you get tipped as a server. A character role I would imagine is very special, because you know that you fulfill a lot of dreams just meeting with the guests. And operations would also mean a lot of guest contact, and I love working on attractions!
this doesn't even really matter that much to me cuz i'd probably work at disney for free lol but are the wages different for different roles? i know servers are paid less hourly cuz they get tips but what about the others?
Some roles are better paid... Like the princesses get more paid because they're a face character... But I think most other roles have the same pay...
Pretty much all the roles us Internationals can do are paid the same, the exception being F&B on the CRP where servers get paid something like $3, but get oceans of tips. If you're not working as a server (i.e. working at a quick service location/stand/seater) then you get the same as everyone else. Also, I think QSF&B on the ICP (not sure about the CRP) get an extra 50c an hour. As far as I can remember, we get something like 6 or 7 dollars an hour. There are certain roles around WDW where it is possible to get extra money, like by working as a face character, equity actor or even Innoventions Presenter (they also get an extra 50c), but those roles aren't available to ICPs. KC P.S. OK, so Innoventions Presenter is available to us, but we get paid the usual ICP wage anyway if that's where you're placed.
Thanks alot for the info guys. I'm applying to the CRP anyway so I'm hoping for an F&B position, preferably a server cuz that's what I do now (plus the tips ) but I think you have to work your way up to be a server don't you?? Like you start out as a seater/greeter? Thanks again
The assignors get more pay also... And CRP's are assignors too... I think that's an extra 50c an hour also...
custodial, where you can spend time talking to guests, spouting disney facts and knowledge, watching parades, getting a tan, cleaning and sweeping.
Sorry, didn't see the last part first... Yes you have to work your way up. I imagine that custodial would be fun, because of the guest interaction and being able to walk out in the sun all day
I wouldn't mind custodial either. I actually like to clean lol and walking around would be fun cuz the whole experience of Disney World isn't just going on the rides and stuff it's the whole atmosphere, the music, the smells etc. Haha some of my best memories are just walking down Main Street and taking it all in So imagine being able to do that while cleaning and being paid?? Wow I'm getting excited all over again haha
