Hi guys! Where is likely that UK international college participants stay? I heard its Vista Way but it does seem that a lot of the Brits on the cultural exchange stay at the Commons. What is the main difference between both accomodation sites?
The Commons is pretty much all just International Program. I can only really comment for there, but the differences that I know is that all the apts. have their own laundry facilities..and they are free. Vista has separate laundry rooms and you have to save your quarters for them. The Commons also gets more TV Channels I heard from a Vista-er once. The Commons is basically a lot nicer because it's newer and since people are going to be there for a year, they tend to take care of the place a lot more, so it's in better condition. Vista has a hot tub, Commons doesn't (although, I always thought I might catch something weird in it). Vista has 95% of the buses run through it, so you never have to change. Commons only had a select few when I was there, so you'd always have to go through Vista, or change buses. Don't know anything about Chatham, was never in there. Shan
when i was there, Chatham was more chilled and quieter than Vista Way or the Commons and generally seemed to have a slightly older crowd there... Might have all changed since then (it has been nearly 3 years since I left....!! :'()
The UK CPs go to Vista, and the UK IPs go to The Commons. Im not sure but i think generally if you're stayin longer yo go commons or chatham. Vista is the oldest and has basic amenities, they hav washers and dryers downstairs of each building and you buy a $3 card and its a $1 a time to use which kinda sucks but hey we all hav to do washin. Commons is nicer but you are closer to golden corral at Vista lol
Ah yes, Golden Corral. A bunch of Canadians had an eating contest there one night...ended kinda badly. BUT...you are closer to the outlet mall in the Commons (and Chatham)!!!!! Shan
