I seem to remember when i was there in 2008, we always, or often, used to go to Bennigans for food after work , or generally for a night out that didnt necessarilly involve a taxi to the ends of the earth (that drunken walk back from Bennigans to the commons didnt seem so long at night, when you were fueled by booze for some reason). Now that its closed, where do people go......wierdly, people never seemed to go to Bennigans so much after lads and lasses.
I do remember their cheese fingers coated with Italian spiced breading and served with a tomato sauce. Yummiieeeee....
Varies a lot now, there's no one place that everyone really goes. If people just want food, McDonalds is a popular choice. If you get out early enough, TGI Fridays. Otherwise, we get taxis to places. You kind of have to really. Unless you go to House Of Blues on a Sunday night. But that's only Sundays, and even then we sometimes get a taxi to Parliament.
thats kind of a shame that its changed in just a few years-thats not to say we didnt get taxis, infact we prob spent more nights out NOT at Bennigans than at Bennigans. Of all the places we used to go for food on a night out, i think ill always be a fan of Perkins because it was always a chicken and bacon melt with a vanilla milkshake, and my group of friends seemed to be somewhat obsessed with perkins because of the chicken pot pie................ I wonder if people still go to that place whose name ive forgot-the cocktail bar by Mall at Millenia.....i remember nearly killing myself with some lethal drinks there
aww bennys the only place in the world where u ask the bar tender for something fruity and the drink u gvet uis so lethal u fall of ya bar stool also not foegttig the monte carlo sarnie deep fried in batter and dusted with sugar yum!!!
the first half of my contract was spent spending every dime i made on podium at bennigans. so sad when it closed!! cowboys on saturdays, buffalo wild wings some mondays, mondays in the commons/pat, sundays hob or howl at the moon or parliment i know some people went to blue martini and chillers but i wasnt 21 at the time... but that sure as hell didnt matter at bennigans!!
My German roommate used to go to Blue Martini all the time on Wednesdays. I dunno if it was just her group of friends or it's a popular one amongst the Germans... but really if you're going to go all the way out there, get 15 people at least to go with you so it's a wayyy cheaper cab ride! My favorite will forever be SOB at Old Town <3 Especially when lots of countries are there! Halloween 09 = epiccc Bennigans has been changed to Santa Fe Roadhouse. I've never been to it since it changed but in my experience, roadhouses have killer food (good ol american south, baby. pass the bbq sauce) and cheap drinks. I moved to Texas in December, and when I left, there was still one Bennigans open on the 192 across from Old Town. Whether it's still there, I don't know. Another great place for casual food and drink is TGI Friday's. There's a couple up I-Drive, one near Downtown Disney and one on the 192. Sign up for their Stripes card and you get coupons by email all the time, free stuff on birthday, anniversary, etc.
