What makes a housing complex better than the other? and what's the big fuzz about the Commons???

Is it cheaper? are there better parties? is it bigger?

    Thanks for the insight.

I was wondering the same thing!
From what I understand though, it's closer to everything?
I'm not totally sure but sounds like it's the place to be...

All it is, is that the commons is where all the cultural reps go. Most of the parties are there and because of it, has a rep for itself. I'm happy in Patterson though although it's very quiet here

Patterson is newer and the decor is tons nicer than the Commons BUT we have washing machines. If you didn't have to pay for laundry it would be an amazing place to live for sure. Quite a few of my friends want to move there, it's slowly on the rise to becoming the place to be. I dunno if it will become like The Commons in terms of parties though. Not yet anyways. Happy Mondays are in the Commons ;D
*Semi O/T vent warning: I work Extra Tragic TCR (will get home at like 1:30 am) Monday and Girls is with freaking Germany    *

Oh, as for location, we're the closest to the mall which is both good and bad. Actual Disney property, the closest would be Vista. The other 3 complexes are all very close together.

i'm in the commons. enough said.

no but seriously, it's just the parties really. vista is meant to have loads of CP parties, just all depends on what programme you're on i guess.

Matt's an alright reason. Sometimes. When his mouth is shut. Which is never. :p *ps matt i love you*

I've heard we're doing better than Vista for parties nowadays. Vista has people from all over the world though, so you can take "sleeping around the world" further than just our like 15 countries we have living here. You know, if you're in to that.
    Sorry. I'm drunk.

the commons is where most crps are so every1 is up for a laugh. ay u finish shift, and all your workmaates decided 2 come bak and get pizza one night, ud have 2 leave at 1am. which can suck.
im in commons and i love it.
ptterson looks nicer, but not loads nicer,

plus patterson not only has crp it has the icps and also professional internship people, who tend to be alot more serious and less up for a laugh, because yeh werehere to work but crps are known for thr love of part, and like im in the uk,nd most other uk people are riht here, so its conveneient
    sorry for my spelling

I'm in Patterson and although it would be great to be in Commons cos thats where the majority of people are, I'm quite happy here. Its real nice, only built 2 or 3 years ago so basically brand new. The pool area is like a freakin 4 star hotel lol. I'm in quite a good location as Arron is literally 2 steps away across the hall and another UK guy is downstairs. The only time it is gonna make a huuge difference is Happy Mondays, where I'd have to be out of the Commons by 1am, but as long as you keep smart about it and dont get caught by security you can crash at peoples apartments.

For sure. I've had people sleep over a few times from Patt and Vista.

....I can't believe I wrote that last night lol It was after a throw in (another perk to the commons), please forgive me. Don't worry. It's not all just about sex and drinking here. Just mostly :p
Seriously if you're worried about it being nothing but a gong show, don't worry about it. It's really not that bad

As soon as I arrived I sensed I would be in Patterson as I heard Dan was, and i was a bit gutted, but then I actually had a look around when i got here. . and they are a lot nicer. they were only finished last year so everything is pretty much brand new. and yeah Dan is right across the hall, Will is downstairs and I think altogether there are about 10-15 UK people here at least, there were 10 walking home from the throw in on thursday. If I was on my own id be gutted but with a good group of UK people here it makes it better.

The testing time will come on monday nights and other nights were at commons parties. At the moment im still a bit apprehensive about staying after 1am, I think i want to play it a bit cool in terms of the 1am rule for the first few weeks, at parties anyway, if your just crashing at someones apartment and its quiet theres not a chance security will find you unless you leave the apartment.

    Yep..what he said.

After the first week or so you get to know more internationals anyway..we've not even been here 2 weeks yet and you get to know soooo many people. Had a party last night and security came and shut it down haha so we moved it over to Arrons and that got shut down too. Fun!! Right now if I had the choice, I wouldnt move to Commons, I'm happy right where I am. The apartments are waay nicer, as is the pool area, which is like a freakin 4 star hotel. Its awesome. The gym is better too (not that I've stepped foot in there yet lol! just stared through the window!!).

One of the down sides is that Patterson doesnt have its own bus stop..you have to walk to Chatham to catch the bus which is a 3/4 minute walk (I know..how lazy..but with a hangover I could do without it!)

    :) :)
I was a CRP UK from June 2008 to June 2009 and I stayed in Patterson Court which was amazing, everything was new, and all the crps from the June Arrival Groups were in Building 2 and 3 which was great, but one disappointment of it all was all other UK CRPS were in the Commons so all the parties, halloween nights, lasses etc were all there and we all had to walk across. It was a shame in the begining and we hated it, but that soon changed. We had parties all the time, pool parties (best pool), Fitness gym parties etc.
The best thing was the 2 June 2008 UK arrival groups were both put into Patterson Court and were put in 2 building next to each other which made us bond and become closer mates that made us different from everyone in the commons.
