What makes you think of Disney

Inspired by a podcast I was listening to yesterday I thought it would be nice to share that one thing that makes you know you are in Disney. For example on the podcast it had a guy who always knew he was in Disney (well I guess Florida) by the announcement on the shuttle between the arrival gate and main MCO terminal.

For me its the smell of popcorn. There is something strange about the smell of Disney popcorn as it always smells so nice and I don't like popcorn anywhere else. Maybe its the fact its been sat in the sun all day but until I've smelt it I don't feel like I'm really there. That and perhaps the smell of Turkey legs (althought I've never eaten them).

How about everyone else? What one thing makes you feel like you're in Disney? It can be anything, a smell, a noise, part of a ride, even the Turnstyles.

Crowd control at the end of the night was my favourite, favourite, favourite part of the job. I bought a piano book of music from the parks before i finished and it's got a lot of the music from Illuminations. Whenever I play it I totally flash back!!! I can still picture every single firework and hear the "The entire Epcot family thanks you for having been with us..." announcement at the end!

    Fireworks.

Every Canada Day I think of running around the promenade, asking people to get off the rocks, and dancing around to the music...

    Also bagpipes.

It reminds me of Off Kilter and the other roaming bagpipers at the Canadian pavillion!!

And I think of Disney at work all the time.... I am a travel agent!!!!

Ah yeah I agree with the bagpipe thing. Last New Year I listened to the Midnight broadcast thing in the UK and they had Bagpipes and I thought of Off Kilter!

  7. theres a certain smell at disney you dont get anywhere else. its weird, its like you can smell the sunshine, occasional you get little bits of it elsewhere esp after a hot day in a concreted area, that always reminds me.

The smell of Disney! I know what you mean about there. There is definately a smell. Also reminded me that the smell in the Christmas shop at Disney makes me feel like I'm there too. Love that smell

At this point, Aerosmith. Also when your driving just off Disney Property and you start seeing things it's so freaking exciting. At least it was when I was a guest. I haven't really done that since I got here.

I think Aerosmiths' a good one actually. They do definately bring me back to the whole Rock n' rollercoaster area (not that I've been on the ride)
