Hi guys, well, I was waitlisted since last year, and they never said anything else, and got really dissapointed about it, then I found out they called some people that were with me at the interviews back then (but they called them on December).. and after that I heard of some people accepted from this year's interviews.. then it means they wont ever call ? tho they dont say it straight to me? then why do they make people lose their time and have hopes about it? well, Mexico City was not so close to me when I made that trip ! so, need to know if anyone here has been waitlisted for so long, or some people from waitlist just dont get the call? please tell me. Scatt.
Pretty sure you only ever get waitlisted for 6 months. Might be an idea to check any email/written correspondence with your recruitment company. As for people that you interviewed with coming off the waitlist... luck of the draw I'm afraid. And people in the next set of interviews getting places... again, luck of the draw. I'd say, if you've been waiting for 12 months or more, than you're off the waitlist by now. Sorry.
Hi Scatta, Viki is complety right, wait list means that Disney likes you but they don't have an offer for you at the moment of the selection, which means that if some of the selected candidates declines the offer then they will call people on the wait list based on their preference. As Vikki told you, if you have waiting for more then 12 months then you option is to apply again for the program as a new candidate. When they don't like you or they think you don't meet the qualifications or requirements to participate in the WDWIP, they tell you that unfortunally they don't have an offer for you and then you can try to apply again in the future. So, if you were in wait list then definitely Disney found a potencial candidate in you so my suggestion will be to keep trying. Hope you get an offer soon. Keep the smile and the good attitude. Ok, I was trying to get any news from them, but they dont reply back.. I guess the meaning of "waitlisted" is ambiguous.. they are really good when it comes to create an atmosphere of uncertainty.. :-\ Thanks for answering guys !
