Not too sure if there would be the slightest chance I could ever do character work while on the ICP, because i'm 5'7"? What do you think?
There's always a chance..You never know really..Only Disney know how many people there going to employ for each role..Im 5'11 and im thinking about applying for Character for my Graduate Program..Don't think ill get it, but its always worth a go..Is there not somethin else you'd want to do if they couldn't offer you character?
I know a few people who have gotten character positions while on the ICP. One of them was Pluto's height, so it's definitely possible. If I remember correctly, you have to audition once you get there though.
Oh yeah, definitely, wouldn't mind doing character attendent or costuming (haven't seen the list though) but I would much prefer to do character... wanted to be a character in Disney since I was 10!
I did costuming, I loved it..But I was on the parades and there is some awful jobs that you can get given in costuming..Guess its like any job though.. A few of my friends have done character attendant and its supposed to be quite good..Supposedly the worst part of the job is that you get alot of abuse from guests when you close the line down and also the make you feel bad stories..Like saying they've travelled 3,000 miles and alls there daughter wanted to do was see mickey! Things like that.. I know what you mean though, I put character down as my first choice on my summer program, then I got given Costuming..Being on the parades is awesome though..And if your character your probably not guna get on the parades on your summer program, so Parade Costuming is a really good experience..It just made me realise though, how much I wanted to go back and be a character!
