Hey Everyone, I start my final year at university at in september of this year and was wondering what age i ok to go disney programs i will be nearly 24 when i will be able to go on the program is this alright or will it be to late. I really hope it will not be to late as i have previously applied and pulled out at the last minute due to having to finishing my university course. Jake
Hey Jake I am in my final year at University now! I will be 24 in May and leave on 12th September There are people who have been accepted who are I believe 27, you will be fine If you are wanting to go next year you'll probably be better off applying in October/November time for the March Interviews next year Colin
Hey, I think the only restriction is that you would only be able to do the Cultural Representative program. The international college program is for university students who will be going back to the same degree in the fall. The differences are that the Cult. Rep. program is a year long one and the ICP is only 3 months, but who wouldn't rather go for a year? Another thing is that with the Cult. Rep, you will be working in the pavillion of the country you represent whereas with the ICP, you could be working anywhere! This is how it works in Canada anyways, I think the UK programs are slightly different, but ya, you should be fine. There was a topic about the age of participants and I think the average was somewhere in the low 20's, but there'd definitely be lots of people the same age as you, or even older! Matt
Thats good then. I will be applying in october so i will have my interview in march, i really hope i get in. Thanks everyone for the information. Take it easy, Jake Warner
Hey Jake! I think I spoke to you last year when we both applied? Im on the waitlist now. If i dont get called i'll be re-applying for the March interviews, so I might see you there! I think I still have you on my msn so maybe chat to you soon. Nat xxx
One more thing that might be important is where you live. If you live in the western provinces, it might be easier to have your interview in the fall, even if you are going in the spring or the summer. They only have interviews in Montreal, Toronto and Halifax in the spring so you'd have to travel to one of those places for an interview. Of course, if you live out east, you have nothing to worry about then. And if you're not from Canada, then, disregard what I just said. Best of luck with it all!
Jake, at 24 you are a baby! Take it from me, as long as you are 18 or over as far as your birth cetificate is conserned it doesn't matter. It's how old you feel that counts; my birth cetificate seems to think I am going to be 30 before I leave for Florida, but I feel about 7, so I'm going to have a blast! Ok, I think I'm putting the pixie dust away now
Yeah Megara - I will turn 27 a few days before I get down there, I was scared I was going to be the only one over 24 and be like everyone's mom! We will have to meet up down there! ;D
I'm the "OLD LADY" of the group I guess!! OVER 30!! HAHAHAH Not so sure I really want to say how old I REALLY am!! EXCITED just like a TEEN though!! ;D December can't come SOON ENOUGH!!
;D 5 years older than me if your profile is to be believed Spa_Life I still have tiara for oldest British princess I think.....
Good LAWRDY does it really SAY how old I am?? WHO CARES...........I look like I am in my late 20's so WHO cares really?? I am the MAMMA!! I am COOL with that!! ;D
Yep, it does say.... like I said before, it's the age of your inner child that matters, not what your birth cetificate thinks. I get chatted up by a 15year old a couple of weeks back, so I must be doing ok too ;D
