    Quick Question:
Where are the Wellness apt.? I'm going to be under 21 for my full yr down there and was just wondering about the wellness apt. Is it like a whole complex? Or just one floor?

    Thanks!

A wellness apartment just means that everybody in your apartment will be under 21, therefore nobody can be caught drinking in that apartment, nor can any alcoholic bottles (full or empty) be found in the apartment. They're SUPER strict about this, and if anything is found in a wellness apartment, Disney reserves the right to term pretty much everybody in the apartment (unless somebody claims sole ownership). So def make it clear with roomies not to mess with that rule! Well, law really! :D

I don't think it's necessarily a whole complex, as I recall being in a wellness apartment, and there being an of-age apartment right across the hall. Just goes from apartment to apartment, pending the age of the people in it.

Oh ya I knew about all the rules and the no alcohol. I defs don't want any roomies messing with that. Just wanted to see if anyone knew where they were. I just red on another thread that they are all over the place.

If there anyone down there that knows where they are this time around, post it. :)

It's just one apartment in random places. I think when I went, I was in the only wellness apartment in our building at Vista. They do it based on who is there, etc., so theoretically the people who lived in your apartment last might not have been under 21. I came into my apartment once to find a beer bottle on the table and I chucked it outside. I was super angry. Some people are there to party and some people are there to work. Hopefully you get the latter, and then you can go party elsewhere!

    Hey Hey
im here now, and have been since june
and im in a wellness, and were in block 1, but i know for sure our next door neighbours are not in a wellness, and a lot of other people i know that live in block 1 are over 21

so your just in normal apartments like everyone else, its just that everyone in there with you is under 21 so youve got those extra rules for your apartment..

    your not segregated or anything
    dont worry :) x

Wow, that must have been real terrefying for you! What do you you mean by "chucked it outside"?

I think she means like she put it outside quickly.

Another Question: Is it one floor girls, then one floor boys? I know they explained this in the F2F I just can't remember what they said. I'm guessing its mixed floors but each apt is either all girls or all boys.

You live with the same gender, but your next door neighbors could be boys or girls.

I literally opened my front door and threw it into the garden. Probably not a smart move at the time, but I did not want that anywhere near me!

But I think I would do the same. And I would become really angry when I had found out who in my apt. that had brought it with him.
Even if you think it was not a smart move, it was probably the smartest.

Do you think you would get "terminated" if you had gone personally to the Disney security with the bottle and explained the situation??

No. Like if they find alcohol on one of their searches, say in the kitchen for example - you can all get sent home, even if someone owns up to it, because no one told. If I had gone to Security and told them, my roommates would have got termed and not me. Basically if you rat them out, you're safe.
If it had happened again, I would have told, because I wasn't at Disney to party. That's what's the most important - don't expect too much from people because some people are there to party and some people are there for Disney.

I do not want to be a "teller"... But risking losing my job at Disney... :-[
I think I will go to security if I experience the same situation, and be 100 % sure that i would not risk to get "terminated"

    What do you say?

Looking back (my roommates ended up hating me anyways, I slept on my friend's couch for the last week of my program), I would go to Security with it. I'm there for Disney, not the people I'm living with.

I agree. I'm not there to party. And I don't want to get termed. I almost didn't make it down (because I've been on the waiting list) and I want to approve I deserve to be there. I also don't want to risk never being able to work for Disney or even anywhere in the USA again.

I don't care though if my roommates go party else where just NO alcohol or drugs in the room.

Yeah - Definitely make that clear the first night you're all there. Especially because I know the Internationals can get pretty crazy! Throw ins and things like that.

  17. Completely agree - this is why I hope I come in to an apartment with people who are all new, so that we can discuss this. I think I would have a harder time if it were just me coming in with a bunch of people who have been there for a while.

Fantastic I hope we get an apartment together.

  19. Me too! That would be great. Do Canadians get paired with other Canadians often? Oh, and by the way - what information have you got from Yummy so far? I think we came off the wait list within two days of each other, so anything we get should be roughly at the same time, I would think. I'm thinking about the package that I keep hearing about people getting... I waaaaaant! :D

just got mine today (Wednesday). So i think you should be getting yours soon. I think we have a better chance of being in the same apartment because we will be in the wellness apartment. I think it is also just by chance; which rooms are available by who is leaving.
