if your in F&B your most likely to loose weight - simply as your going to be on your feet for around 12 hours a day and running around for most of the time! of course some people dont loose or gain anything but i guess it all depends on what your eating habits are like and your own metabolism etc

If you drink a lot and bring a car down, youll most likely gain wait. Otherwise, between sweating, running around, and being too poor to buy food, you'll lose wait. Especially in food and bev.

I actually lost weight - i dropped 2 dress sizes when I was there and everyone said how great i looked when i came home - shame i have put it all back on since i have been home tho lol

I worked in f&b and even before service i was running around - i was one of the idiots who actually went out nito the street to play hopscotch with the little kids and stuff in sweltering hot heat

my diet was pretty grim tho - before service me and some friends would get like some crappy cheap junk food that i would cook for us after gettng nto service it was ihop/tgi fridays, bahama breeze etc usually on a double or mid it would be a footlong sub hal;f before work half during the break and then take out or going out for food or skipping a meal in the night. i also drank a lot my liver still twinges in remembrance of the sheer volume drunk esp going to cowboys or on mondays for lasses

mind you im a chunky monkey anyways my mate who was size 8 went up to size 12 out there

It all depends on if you've lived on your own before or not, I think.

When I was in college for the first 2 years living in residence on a meal plan, I had 20 hours of school a week, and then 20 hours of work, so I was constantly busy, but I ate crap food and drank a lot so I put on a lot of weight.

Then come the third year I was living in a house on my own, and when you're buying your own groceries, a lot of things get cut out of the list, and I lost all the weight I'd gained. It's all a maturity thing. Everyone gains weight when they move away from home for the first time.

Just be wary of what's going in your mouth, the portions of it, and how much exercise you're getting in a day and you'll be fine.

some people found they lost weight because they were doing a much more physically active job then the one they left at home, so of course thats going to have some effect, but then others will eat out most nights and drink most nights and therefore will gain weight.....

i think its a totally personal thing tho, theres no way to tell what will happen before you go really!
