hey all! a good friend of mine is going to be getting married while i'm in florida. she really wants me to be there and i really want to be there, too so does anyone know what i'll have to do to make sure that i have enough time to fly up to canada, attend the wedding and fly back to florida? any help would be awesome! cheers, mallory
hey probarbly not much because flights across the USA can be3 pretty cheap you could get a return for £300 (thats a maybe)
i would see if you could arrange your days of so that they fall when the wedding is - im sure if u explained to a manager etc they would let u ;D
Yeah, talk to them as soon as you can, and get a back-to-back to cover those days... as Kelly said, they'll understand... just do it as soon as you get there... less chance you'll get time off if you wait...
Hey Mallory, I know what you mean one of my best friends is also getting married next aug, I would love to be there but it would cost way too much money for me to get a flight back to the U.K also I don;t think you get payed if you take time off. It may be easier for you to get flights back to Canada so I would ask if you could do it coz it will be worth it. Helen x
i was gonna say that to - it maite depend on the time of year whether or not u can get the time off - but im sure somone would cover you if they didnt give u the time off ;D
thanks for your suggestions guys! so i guess in the first few days that i'm there, i'll make sure to tell the manager. the wedding is in may, and i arrive in december...so that is a lot of notice!! 4 days off would be awesome. working 10 days straight doesn't seem so bad! cheers, mallory
Hey mallory! imgonnabe going through the same thing next year.....my friend jut got engaged On Canada day....so cute. There looking at a spring wedding as welll. looking forward to going to the wedding, does anyone else LOVE weddings? there so much fun ! sheena
As long as it doesn't fall on the holiday weekend in May...if it does...you might be in trouble because it could be a blockout date for booking days off. Somebody there now might be able to check that out. Just book the days off as soon as you get there. Worst case, you'll only have 3 days off. Shan
yeah so do i - i still have my bridesmaid dress from years ago, i was so tiny - i also looked liek a peach merangue :-[
i've never been a part of a wedding before. only a guest. i can't wait to be a bridesmaid, or maid of honor....but i have a feeling i'll be a bride first before i'm a bridesmaid or anything...
lol well theres another idea for florida - we should have a wedding party? somone gets to be the bride (we all vote or something like that) ;D
