hey everyone, i'm from malaysia and i'll be 18 next year and going to college, and i just found out about the international college program and i really really really REALLY want to go for this experience...i've loved disney all my life...but i'm totally clueless about it, can anyone tell me how to apply and its requirements and qualifications? thanks so much, i hope some of you reply! oh ya, and i wanna know about the whole phone interview thing (because there are no reps in my country) and the intakes? like how long is the program and stuff. june
Well, I can't say I know a lot about participants from Malaysia, but I'll tell ya what I do know and answer as best I can!! If you want to apply for the international college program, you have to be in between years in a degree program-or just after your final year to take part, I believe. I don't know if Malaysia is represented by Cultural Reps (I'm thinking Asia at Animal Kingdom, but I don't know!) but it wouldn't hurt to ask, I guess! For now, I'd get in contact with: Disney Worldwide Services, Inc. International Recruitment Post Office Box 10090 Lake Buena Vista, Florida 32830-0090 Fax Number: 407-828-3330 E-mail Address: wdw.int.recruiting@disney.com and ask them if you'd be eligible to apply and how you'd go about doing that. As for phone interviews, it differs by country, as does intake levels and program length! However, I believe Cultural Rep programs are usually around a year, and International College Programs about between 3 and 6 months. You might be able to find some other answers at disneyinternationalprograms.com ... For now, best of luck with contacting Disney, and let us know how it turns out/if you have any more questions!! KC
i got a response, but all they say is Thank you for your interest in our Walt Disney World International Program. Please visit our website at www.disneyinternationalprograms.com for more information on our programs and how to apply. i already have been through the website but they don't really say what i hve to do...so i'm confused. should i write back or something? or do i just sen in my resume.. :S *update* got a reply exactly like my sister's...do no accept from malaysia told me to check back in 12 months to see if there are any recruitment agencies. bah! i'm so dissapointed, i really wanted to experience working in disney
I'm in the same boat as you... but I'm from Portugal and as of now they're only acepting people from a limited number of universities here... and they're not accepting anyone for the summer work experience It is so bad that we want so much to be able to work there and because we belong to a list of countries that are not accepted at all I guess we'll have to wait another year and see what happens
