hi every one well today got the call saying im not into the program but im on the waiting list :-[ and im not sure how good is that, :-\ does any one knows someone that was on waiting list and now is working on WDW? if i got a place into the waiting list my program is still 1 year? because they told me i can got a place if someone reject the offer (i think its a little difficult) or if somereason dont finish the program i can take the place, and if taht its the case its my program for one year too? or just time left? and how much are the possibilittes to get in? they say me that im considerer until september 2007!!!!! very very long time!!! i cant wait that much!!! well yes i can ;D but i dont want lol i was hopping get the offer nut well now more wait!!!! :'( :'( big hugs! :-* :-* :-*Ely :-* :-* :-*
Hey Ely, I was on the waiting list from the interviews in February, and I am gonna be a cast member as of December 6th, so keep your head up, you'll get the job, just be persistent, make sure you are on the top of their list ! Chase

Don't worry, Being on a waiting list means that you're accepted anyway! I was on the waiting list from the April 2005 interviews and I'm leaving February 2006 for WDW. An advice: keep your cell phone close to you 'cause they called me many times during the year saying there was a position available and that I should call them back as soon as possible...but everytime I did someone already called them before...so I ended up with February 2006 which I'm actually happy with! And yes, your program will still be a whole year! See ya' Guillaume.

Don't want to burst your bubble...BUT...being on the wait list doesn't mean that you are accepted. It is still possible that you won't. I was wait listed my first time and DIDN'T get in. So I reapplied and got in the second time. Just keep your fingers crossed and your phone close by. Just try really hard not to get your hopes up and move on with your life as if you didn't get it. Makes the waiting a little more bearable. GOOD LUCK!!!! Shan
Really Shannybanany? ??? Well, maybe it depends from which country you are 'cause in France they told me that no matter what you were accepted if you were put on a waiting list. The only way not to be accepted is when you receive a negative answer. They even say it in the mail...they say: "We are happy/ glad to announce you that you have been accepted/chosen for the Walt Disney World International Cultural representative program." Anyway, hold on Ely...I'm sure you'll make it! Bye.
In Canada, there were actually two letters you could get. One that said you were on a waitlist and one that said you were being considered for a position beginning between X month and X month. If you got the month letter, yes, it pretty much meant you were in but they didn't have a leaving date for you yet. Shan

Well, so it's the same thing in Mexico as in France: 3 possible replies. I'm telling you that you're accepted anyway 'cause once they have chosen someone, they want to keep it 'cause they don't want to go through the interview stuff again with you, they don't waste their time for nothing. But I know how you feel! When I received the email and started reading it I was so happy that I was accepted but then I kept reading and saw "there was no positions available for the moment...bla bla bla" and my happiness went down. But hey, I made it so :-X! I'm sure we'll meet sometimes in EPCOT...so see you there and good luck for the wait!
