    Hi everybody!

Monday the 13th of March I had my interview with people from Disney World here in The Netherlands. They asked our patience as they were evaluating and reconstructing the J1 program.

We are almost 5 weeks after my interview, and I don't think I'll hear this week(end) because of Easter, so I am about to enter my 6th week :'(.

I emailed Yummy Jobs (YJ) a day after the three week wait, because I heard that many of the British people on this forum got a response. I also know from a guy in The Netherlands that he got in, but he was no J1'er. Anyway, YJ responded, they didn't know anything either.

I am glad to heave learned through the other topic that there are still places open for the start date in August. I really want to go!

Anybody else got experience with such a long wait? Are there Europeans who allready got accepted for the J1, or who are also still waiting?

My wait continues :-\...how about yours?

Hmm.. I guess you're asking about the J1 Academic Program? :-\

There are UK interviews for that program in just over a week. As far as I know, none of the March UK folks interviewed for the J1 Academic Prog, those interviews were primarily for the IP and the ICP. So as far as I know, there are no UK folks waiting for a response concerning the J1 Academic Prog. other than us folks heading to the interview. :-\

You can be sure I'll be back here on wdwip.com with all the info. I can gather from the upcoming interviews.

    Sorry, I wasn't much help really. :-[ :D

    That is ok. Thanks though!

I am actually starting to get confused about the different programs. Isn't the ICP and the J1 exactly the same? If there is a difference YJ didn't offer the ICP here in The Netherlands. How does that work, what are exactly the differences??

    Bit confused here ??? Help

The ICP (international college program) lasts for 3 months over the summer and is open to students between university academic years only. You basically work in wdw for 3 months over the summer.

The J1 academic program (college program for international people) is a year long and is open to students and recent graduates. You take classes in conjunction with a us university, study and also work in wdw.

Both are on J1 visas. It is very confusing. The International college program is different to the college program for internationals. ::) Go figure! Lol! :D

Haha, I applied for the J1 Academic Exchange program. I have offered them a start date of August 1st and return in January 2007, so half a year. My interview was 13 March (...in ancient history ;) ).

You have applied for that program too right?

Yeah, we had our last session a couple of weeks ago where they asked us what was good and not so good with the program, so I guess they're modifying it so it's better than the program currently is.

Ah...so, how good was it ;D?

Apparently they kinda overlooked at the amount of time they need before they are able to report if I get to go or not. I guess it is for the better :D.

This program is still confusing me. So is it a year or six-months? Lol. I look forward to you securing some answers, Ona :)

Yeah it seems like the program is offered in a slightly different format in the Netherlands than it is here in the UK.

Hopefully all shall be revealed later this week. ;D

Yeah, I wanted HM, but decided now that JC is much more fun! I also really wanted ToT a while bacl, but all the CP's there are kinda snobby because they know they got the best attractions, and I don't want people to think I'm like that

Well, I was hoping for one of the rides too. Splash Mountain, Soarin', Test Track, Big Thunder Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Stitch's Great Escape, Tower of Terror...but to my surprise they offered me Front Desk. I didn't sign up for that, but it is surely going to be fun working there too and I am very grateful that I am on the program!
