    Hey guys,

I have read in a couple of places that they are putting some CRPers in Vista Way at the moment, is this true?

If so then do you later get transferred back to The Commons? Are there any disadvantages of being in Vista rather than Commons?

    thanks,

    David

If you are put in vista way or chatham square then its because the commons is all full up, but you will get moved to the commons when there is space.

I notice that your doing CRP.... in the past all CRP peeps have been put in The Commons together so if you have been told you are going into Parrterson Court then I really dont know what is happening.

well..at the interview Julie told us that we could possibly go to the new complex, that it was going to be ready this summer and if we go to patterson court the housing would be a little bit more expensive than commons, because all it's going to be new and stuff..but that's all she said

A disadvantage would be that you're far away from your friends in the commons... since most other CRP's lives there...

How far away is Patterson Court from all the other complexes?

From what I have heard it is in the same place as all the other complexes but closer to Commons than Chatham and Vista.

    Awesome!
So how many people are going to be living there altogether does anyone know?
And about how many people from each country are represented at one time?

Does anyone know something more about this? I have been really looking forward living in the commons, especially since my friend is also going. I want to live in commons, with all the other crp's :/
Anyone got any news on this?

i've heard from a friend, who already live in the commons (without a staying in vista way or chattham) , that patterson court will be just for americans...
and many CRPs live in vista way first, because in the commons is no space, so you move, when there will be something avaible

The jury is still out on Patterson at the minute over here.

Its right next to Chatham and approx 5 mins walk from the Commons, not very far at all - vista is a 10 min bus ride away.

There is no way that Patterson is just for Americans, i'm from the UK on the graduate program and there has been talk of them moving all of us, who have settled in Vista and Chatham into Patterson as soon as it opens, with the rent going up to $125 a week as all apartments have washer/dryer facilities.

That is $50 a week extra to what i'm paying now - and we don't get paid that much to start off with.

As for the CRPs and ICPs etc, you will just be put where there is space. There are a lot of American CPs finishing in the next few weeks so vista and chatham will have lots of spaces; the CRPs, they do try and keep you in the commons, but if there's no space it means camping out somewhere else and waiting for space or settling down where they put you.

When you sign the housing contract over here, you give them carte blanch regarding what they want to do with you and if they tell you to move you have to go. There are also stipulations that if half your flat becomes empty whoever is left will automatically be used to fill in spaces in other apartments so that new arrivals can move in together.
