Hi all! Just have a quick question and if anyone could answer it would be brilliant...i start the CRP on the 28th of July 09 and have found reasonable cheap flight over, my family really want to come over and see me settled etc the only problem is the flights are on the 29th/30th of June and im not sure my visa lets me do that. Does anyone know if its ok for me to be out there for a bit before i start or is it totally impossible? xxx
The best thing to do would be to email Yummy or call the US Embassy in London to make sure. They can tell you all you need to know!
Don't quote me but i heard that if you fly before, it doesn't count as your basicly there as a holiday guest till your start date at Disney which is when yor Visa starts. I'd like to know what you find out though as i think a few of us to fly out a little earlier
That's how I thought it works...some people go two weeks before their start date, but obviously your visa doesn't start until a certain time, so they'll most likely enter you into the country as a tourist.
My biggest concern is getting my physical passport back after the visa interview at the embassy. It would suck if I had booked a flight a week before I'm due to start & they havn't mailed my passport back to me!
deffo email yummy and check what other folk do, since you're entering the country a good month before your program begins. i'm sure it'd be fine to do it on a tourist visa though. It's so cool that your family are heading out with you!
I assume as soon as we recieve our packs we can go about applying for the Embassy? I really don't want to be going to part come May next year
