    Hey,

Sorry if this has already been asked.
But i'm doing the icp with Michigan Uni. I recieved my forms that i need to book my appointment at the embassy. On the letter it says i need to pay £63 at a bank with the counterfoil that will be supplied by the embassy.
    When do i get this?
and can i book my appointment at the embassy before paying that £63?

    Thanks

    Katie

I remember that I did it at Barclays Bank. I have absolutely no reason to choose Barclays, indeed its further away from me than just about every other High Street Bank, so I'm fairly sure that was where it said to do it.

I didn't book my embassy appointment myself, it was booked by Yummy, but they had booked it before I had paid the fee. You take the receipt from the bank to the embassy/consulate, so they wouldn't know you'd paid it when you attempt to book.

Yeah the form i've got recomends barcleys cos they definetly dont charge for doing it.
Do you have to take anything to barcleys or do they just give you the reciept that you need?
Cos i read something about having to get the counterfoil from the embassay!

I mentioned this to my mum (who works for Barclays) a while back actually (can't remember how got on to the conversation)

Basically its like a normal bill you get from my understanding of it, you go in and pay it, and they stamp it to confirm you have paid. The reason they recommend Barclays is because Barclays is who the Embassy bank with so there is no fee, but if you bank with another bank that allows you to bank Giro Payments then chances are they also will allow you to pay for free (don't quote me on that, I am just making an assumption its a Bank Giro slip they send you for payment)

Hope that makes some sense? :)

Hi. What I did was book the appointment and then they will send you lots of information and the slip that you take to the bank will be included.
    Hope this helps.

From memory, Disney sent me the paying-in form, I took it to Barclays, who stamped it, then took it to the embassy/consulate. However, Louise seems to be saying she got the form direct from the embassy - in which case I have no idea!

Took mine to the Royal Bank of Scotland and they didnt charge me for it :)

They also didnt notice that it said valid to the 30th of April (the date being the 2nd of May) and saying that i didnt notice it either til i was standing in the que but it doesnt seem to have mattered that much as i had my Visa approved today ;D

I will however not stop worry about it till the day i have it in my hands :-\
