sorry guys another question. On the visa you need to attach a picture but measuring 50mm x 50mm which is bigger than a passport size photo. So i'm wondering where did you guys go to get a photo to put in with the visa? cheers Ian.
for your picture, in france we go to our photograph, we say that's for the us visa, they know exactly the size and the specification
The ICP is a Q1? I thought it's only the IP that is Q1, hence all the annoying restrictions on us. I thought the ICP was J1, hence why only students are eligible. :-\ Yeah the US passport size pic is different to the UK one. Yummy gave us a list of possible places to get one from but I called and asked Alexis if it was really necessary and she said no to worry about. So I didn't. I just used the regular god-awful passport pic and had no problems at all. But that was (OMG!) 3 years ago. Check with Yummy and see what they say. :-\ Ona x
Yeah Ona, that freaked me out. I'm about to call the US border to make sure they have the Q1 visa for IP....... I'm on Q1 not J1 right? eek!
See I just figured this is all my fault I for some reason thought you were going on the ICP even though I know you are going on the IP. My bad sorry.
Hiya! I went to a photo developers and asked if they did them - whch they did... warning - dont jst go for the first place - shop around!! they charged me £25 EEKKKS!!!! however they did airbrush a godawful spot i had!!! hehe! and like max sed - they shud no all the correct specs if they do it - but show them the sheet jst in case! you dont wna get it wrong!
ICP is definetely a variant of the J1 visa, yes! The photo is meant, according to some guidelines I read, to be US-size passport photo, which is different to UK size. I didn't shop around and it cost me a ridiculous amount! Equally though, I know people who last year used UK passport photos and were fine.
I was charged about £20... but to be honest I didn't care, I'd rather they were correct and would get me a Visa, rather than being wrong and me not being able to get here!
I was charged 7 pounds for mine i just went to a photographer and asked for a US Visa photo, it was an absolute minger and look eligible for America's most wanted, haha only joking
