visa photo

Hi has anybody had their visa photo done by the photographer in manchester, the one recommended by the embassy? I need a photo done but dont know where to find the photographer in manchester. Does anybody have any advice?

 

i dont know where one is in machester ,check the pack the visa ppl sent u!.its on the back name s all the places available.....london..swansea....i cant remember machester so i dont know why im posting....anyway.....my pic looks awful lol....i dont like them as there sqyare photos...but the visa page looks awesome!!!!!!!when its in ur passport!!!!

i ant had my pac yet do u have to go somewhere special to get ur pic done help me i only just found out that i goin and am starting to freak out about the whole thing any help would be great

Hiya DONT WORRY!!!
my friend went last week and only had a photo from a photo booth done and it was fine she's had her passport back and everything so i wouldnt worry bout it. I go for my visa 2moz and i'm only taking a picture from a photo booth 2.

 

There is one for manchester in that pack but i cant find it?

A friend of mine had hers done in a photo booth and it was ok. Its just that they make a big deal out of it in our packs

 

i know i was in the car!!!!! and i measdured my pic and it was wrong,so i freaked out

Hey,

I was the same was absolutely freaking bout the photo- esp as u queue for so long and i had travelled from North Wales to get there, i thought they were gonna turn me away and tell me to get a proper pic done but they never! If u wanna get it done to be safe i then do, but if not then it didnt matter for me and i had my interview at the end of March- so i expect they will be the same!!

really ,i totally freaked cos i thought thed turn me away,well that was a waste of an extra £5.65 hehe and the picture was bluddy ugly!!!!! lol.

For our Canadian passports we have to make it look like a mug shot...not allowed to smile or wear anything shiny and the pic has to be in black and white. So i look like a drug dealer in mine

 

I only realised that they were supposed to be a certain size the night before when i was getting all my stuff ready- i text a friend who had already had his interview and he said that he used a normal one and got away with it, i panicked for the whole day until they stamped approved on it!!  It was such a pain though coz on the list of places the only one in the North west is in Manc and in wales Cardiff and Swansea which is pretty useless for us North Waleans!!  Sorry but love a good moan-hehe

ha! .urs had to be B and w.....why??thats odd...well i suppose cos the pics black and white when its stampe din ur visa.........we had to get colour. and its an odd shape for a passport usaually there rectangle but these were SQUARE!.........what are u gunna wear thats shiny..lol

 

hey nessa..ahh i wish i knew that!! would of stopped me gettin so stressed .......we all need a good moan!!!! trust me......heehee! at least visas sorted.......now its insurance,,,,,,,,,,,,,,u got that sorted yet?i cant do mines toll may.....when im back home!!!!! *sigh of relief* i cant bluddy wait..........

I think i got it sorted- they were supposed to send me an e-mail confirming it but i've not had it yet, i have got the forms printed- hopefully its all done! I did mine as soon as my loan went in so i knew i had money for it, i think fingers crossed that i have done everything i need to, with exception of sitting exams, packing and boarding the plane!!!!!!!!

I used a photobooth photo last time i think so longs its got white borders so its bigger its fine. I might get it done properly this time though.

Does anyone know if theres a place in edinburgh u can get them done? If not i'll probably get them done in london.

thanx marie.......unfortunmatly i dont know anywere in edinBur that does it.....sorry... i know theres one rite near the embassy tho....and u just say J1 and hes yays yup straight away it takes under 2 minutes thats taking the foto and development

They also given a phone number- 0131 667 5257! Hope thats a little help to u, enjoy the visa forms (if u not had the pleasure this year already!!)

I know where that place is... i'll get it done after my exams next month. Us ip lot dont get our forms for a few weeks so we dont get to go to embassy till may... I remember the forms from my exchange year - total nightmare bet theyve got worse too - lol! theres something to look fwd to!

theres some criteria on the embassy site ll go find it and copy and paste, i was freaking out but now im ok after reading that had some passport pics done bout 2 months ago!

i cant find it but ian sent me the page yest, it said about the measurements but it said digital pics/passport pics were fine with preferably ears shown, and your face covering 50% at least of the picture with your hair showing from your crown to your chin. and it could be colour or black & white and taken within the last 6 months!
